Wrestler passes away, Stasiak rejoining WWE? Submitted by William Martinez on Monday, December 30, 2002 at 11:43 PM EST
Jeff Dingus, who worked in Michigan-based independent promotions under the name Yukon Braxton, was found dead this morning in his home. At this time, no cause of death has been made public. Our thoughts go out to the family and friends of Jeff Dingus.
This past Sunday night, Shawn Stasiak was scheduled to join NHB but when contacted during the show for the interview, he was nowhere to be found. NHB spoke with Shawn earlier during the day and he informed them that he would be returning to the WWE in mid-January and didn't want to get any extra heat on himself by saying anything negative about the WWE or anyone in the business.
NHB assured him that they wouldn't put him in a position to cost himself any position with the company and he was happy with their position regarding the upcoming interview. Stasiak appeared on NHB 2 years ago before WrestleMania 17 and broke the scoop that he had signed with the WWF and would appear at WrestleMania 17 along with 24 other WCW talents.
That interview caused Stasiak a lot of heat with the company and almost got him fired before he even began his second stint with the company. NHB has made every effort to contact Shawn regarding his cancellation but have not been able to track him down.
It is NHB's belief that if Stasiak is in position to land another opportunity with WWE, his cancellation is a result of not wanting to jeopardize a future job with the company. If NHB gains any other information or hear from Shawn about this situation, they will make it available as soon as possible.
