WWE House Show Results from Fort Myers, Florida 12/14/02

WWE Tour of Defiance
Ft Myers Florida
Teco Arena

I just got back from the WWE Tour of Defiance House Show in Ft. Myers,
Florida. The arena was about 40% full. Teco holds about 8500 people for a WWE
show and there was a strong 4 to 5,000.

Fink came out first to Welcome to the Jungle to a decent pop. He went over
the rules and away we go...

Match 1) Rosey & Rico vs. Spike Dudley & DLo' Brown
Rico and Rosey came out first to decent heat. A big 'Rico Sucks' chant. Next
DLo and Spike came out to Spike's music and a nice pop. Solid opener. Spike
was being dominated and he went to tag DLo but DLo jumped off the apron and
went to the back to a chorus of boo's. Rosey and Rico then double teamed
Spike for the win.

Winners: Rosey & Rico

Match 2) Tommy Dreamer vs. Sean O'Haire
Dreamer came out first to a good pop. Then O'Haire made his way down the
aisle, halfway down he stopped, turned around and went to the sound booth
where he sat down, cut off the music and then started another theme. Strange.
But that's the beginning of it. O'Haire dominated the match for the most
part. O'Haire brought the steps in the ring and sat on them and was talking
to himself and was acting "demented." In the end O'Haire used a reverse DVD
for the win.

Winner: Sean O'Haire

Match 3) Raven vs. Johnny Stamboli
Raven came out first to a nice pop. Then Stamboli came out to nothing.
Stamboli was the heel. He dominated the match until Raven hit a drop-toe-hold
and then the Raven Effect for the win.

Winner: Raven

Match 4) Christian vs. Goldust
Christian came out first to some heat. Then Goldust came out to a big pop.
Christian got on the mic and said "If anyone in Ft. Myers says Christian
Sucks, I am going to be VERY pissed off!" Then a big Christian Sucks chant
hit. This was a good match. Christian even through a tantrum after not
winning with a reverse DDT. Goldust got the win though when he nailed the
Shattered Dreams.

Winner: Goldust

Match 5) Triple H & Batista w/ Ric Flair vs. Rob Van Dam & Kane
Batista came out first to nearly no reaction. Then Flair came out to a nice
pop. He got on the mic and said that Triple H was the best in the world and
was going to beat Shawn Michaels for the World Title at Armageddon. Triple H
then came out to a big pop. Then RVD came out to a big pop. Then Kane came
out to a HUGE pop for 4, 000 people. Batista and HHH isolated RVD. One spot
was where RVD jumped to the top rope but HHH knocked him off and RVD hit the
guard rail. The rail broke and smacked about 4 people in the face (there were
people crouched down) One kid was about 5 and got hit with the rail, but he
was OK. Kane and Batista were fighting on the outside while Flair brought in
a chair for HHH. Flair distracts the ref and HHH goes to hit RVD with the
chair, RVD ducks and hits the Van Daminator. HHH got up and was going for the
Pedigree but Kane came in, Chokeslammed HHH and then knocked Batista out on
the outside with another Chokeslam. RVD then hit the Five Star Frogsplash and
got the win.

Winners: Kane and Rob Van Dam

Afterwards Kane and RVD posed for about 10 minutes. RVD then hit just about
everyone's hand on the front row of each section (around the entrance way)

15 Minute Intermission

Match 6) Victoria w/ Molly Holly vs. Jacqueline vs. Trish Stratus- WWE
Women's Title with Jerry Lawler as Guest Referee.
Lawler came out first to a decent pop. Then was Jackie to nearly nothing.
Then Trish to a big pop then Victoria and Molly to mild heat. Lawler said
that he had to pat down all the ladies before the match, Victoria was more
than ready. Then he went to pat down Trish but Victoria knocked Trish out of
the ring. A very short match. Victoria won with the Widow's Peak on Trish
while Jackie and Molly were arguing.

Winner: Victoria

Match 7) Christopher Nowinski vs. Maven
Nowinski out first to mild heat (they accidentally hit Jericho's theme before
Nowinski) He got on the mic and bragged about being a Harvard Graduate. Then
Maven's music hit to surprisingly a decent pop. Decent match. Nowinski worked
on Maven shoulder. Nowinski got the win with a modified shoulderbuster.

Winner: Christopher Nowinski

Match 8) Chris Jericho w/ Christian vs. Test
Jericho came out first with Christian to a mixed reaction. Test's music hit
to a good pop. In the End Christian tried to hit Test with the Tag belt but
Test gave him the Big Boot, Test backed up into a low blow, Jericho won with
the Break Down (sleeperdrop)

Winner: Chris Jericho

MAIN EVENT: Match 9) Dudley Boyz vs. Lance Storm & William Regal- Table Match
Storm and Regal out first to massive heat. Regal got the mic but everyone was
chanting USA. He was about to talk then the Dudleys music hit to a big pop.
HUGE 'We Want Tables' chant. Bubba got the mic and said 'Just incase you
Canadian scum are deaf, Ft. Myers is wanting some tables!" It was a back and
forth match. Bubba was tagged in and cleaned house after DVon was dominated.
They hit the "Whazzaaahhh" spot and Bubba told DVon the Get the Table. DVon
did then Jericho and Christian ran in and beat down both Dudleys. Y2J &
Christian left then Spike ran in and Dudley Dogged Regal, then tried to
Dudley Dog Storm but Storm pushed him off to the outside of the ring. DVon
went for the Saving Grace on Storm but Storm countered into a Suplex, DVon
blocked it, pushed Storm into the ropes and the Duldeys gave Storm 3D through
the table for the win.

Winners: Dudley Boyz

Afterwards, Bubba was giving out pieces of the broken table to some kids.
Bubba and Spike posed in the ring and in the entrance way. While DVon just
went to the back.

It was a great show. But the Brand Extension really has to end. It's ruining
attendance. Last time WWE was in Ft. Myers( November 2001), the place was
nearly sold out.
