The following is from NWATNA.com.
NWA TNA "From The Inside" with Jeremy Borash
Gobble Gobble Gobble. Greetings from Minneapolis. Yesterday, I ate like like Rosie O'Donnell at a Shoney's buffet. I hope everyone had a chance to spend some time with the family over this holiday weekend.
The NWATNA.com website is back up and will be adding more great features by the day. There has been talk of a Ryder/Borash radio show reunion for TNA on the website. If there were only 28 hours in a day. By the way, make sure and check out Bob's column every week on the website. Great inside info.
Great matches put forth by Jarrett/Truth and Lynn/Styles this week.
The talk of the wrestling world seems to be Vince Russo, generating a ton of interest. What is the bigger picture here? Everyone has an opinion of him, including myself. In fact, I can't think of someone who can divide people faster. If it drums up interest and whatever happens plays out effectively, I'm all for it.
TNA has parted ways with Sean Waltman, I'm going to reserve comment on this entire situation for a later date. I think there is going to be much more to this story than what you are reading in the press.
Moving on...
This is a new era, gang. There are more talented wrestlers out there than ever, and less wrestlers making money at it than any other time in our business. Wrestling's big money boom era has left us like OJ "left" Nicole. However, a business climate comeback is on the horizon. There are no shortage of people who would give their balls to be able to do this for a living, and it is going to take an influx of innovation, hunger, and hard work to turn things around. It all comes down to opportunity, and what you do with it.
TNA has a great locker room leader in Jerry Lynn. Attention young talent looking for a role model in this business; Jerry Lynn is your man. Study him. He will get my vote for 2002 Wrestler of the Year. The industry owes it to him.
Red, AJ, Kid Kash, and another opponent (I have been hearing some interesting rumors) will compete in a double elimination X-Division match this week.
After several unforeseen hurdles, it appears as though the TNA wrestling school Jerry Lynn will head up is back on track and moving towards opening soon. More on this as it becomes available.
The SATs vs. Divine Storm will take place this Wednesday.
Had a chance to spend some time with Sabu last weekend. He takes his work very seriously, and his passion for this business has worked both for him and against him in his career.
Sonny Siaki will face Jerry Lynn for the X-Division title Wednesday night. Sonny Siaki had one of the bigger reactions of the night this past Wednesday. More matches will be announced on Wednesday.
The World Wrestling All-Stars tour of Europe has kicked off. Jeff Jarrett and I will be joining the tour in Scotland a week from tonight. We will then head to Manchester on Saturday night, then onto Belfast on Sunday. We have some meetings in London set up for Monday, and back home Tuesday in time for the TNA show. Should be a busy couple of days.
Tonya Harding has decided to step back into the ring. Next step, Branson!
Jorge Estrada in a recent interview on TNA... "A lot of times people in higher positions try to be power freaks. Rather than downing us, they're always talking about all the positive things that we're doing. They're hands on people. If it can stay that way, it will be an awesome environment for everybody to work in. It will do the wrestling business a great deal of good."
EZ Money continues to climb the ladder, and looks to have a bright future ahead of him in TNA.
Had an interesting visit to the Viking Hall in Philly last weekend to see Blue Meanie's 3PW show. Meanie was one of my first friends in this business, and is a guy nobody ever has a bad word to say about. Especially rare in this business, by the way. My main observation about my visit was the crowd. The matches were great, but that crowd is more jaded than a Jim Jones family reunion. It isn't their fault, though. That building has seen just about everything, and after a while things just cant be topped.
Trinity has really impressed TNA officials.
With Thanksgiving upon us... I guess it is time for me to share a few various things I am thankful for this year... Here we go...
I am thankful for...
...The day I remember sitting in Jeff Jarrett's office when he thought of the X-Division concept.
...The day Mike Tenay and Don West became our announce team. They are incredible.
...Finally getting to hang out with my hero... my inspiration... my new best friend, Snoop Dogg. Fo Sheezy my Neezy.
...After his hatchet job on this column a few weeks back, I am thankful to know that I am in my mid 20's and still make roughly three times the average yearly income of the typical North Carolina school teacher.
...Getting to visit Australia (the second greatest country on earth) four times in the last year...and being able to spend the upcoming holidays there this year.
...Fake breasts
...Real breasts
...Abdullah the Butcher's breasts
...Having Buck Woodward tip me off to a kid from Brooklyn named "Amazing Red."
...The TNA Asylum fans, who I would put up against any crowd in the world in terms of appreciation of good talent.
...A gal I dated who visited New Orleans, had a little too much to drink, and ended up on the newest "Girls Gone Wild" video doing exactly what you'd expect. Her parents must be proud. Guess what everyone is getting for Christmas this year?
...TNA referee Rudy Charles, who I can unleash frustrations on in the office at anytime with a suplex or piledriver on the office couch.
...Getting to appear in my first Hollywood motion picture, "Head of State." Hopefully this can lead to bigger roles in the future. Lookout Corey Feldman!
...I can safely call Beetlejuice of the Howard Stern show a "close friend"
...I can safely call Steve O of Jackass a "close friend"
...I can safely call myself a moron when it comes to picking "close friends"
and finally...
...Getting to work with the people I do on a daily basis, and having the greatest job in the world. TNA has been the hardest, but most enjoyable project I've ever been a part of, and I am more thankful of that than anything.
Happy Thanksgiving gang!

Philly.com: Stone Cold still red hot despite retreat, assault case
STONE COLD Steve Austin's first public appearance since leaving WWE TV was astounding: More than 5,000 fans showed up Nov. 21 at a Richmond, Va., Circuit City to get his autograph. Austin signed 3,000, more than fulfilling his obligations. In the midst of the madness, among the throng not able to gain entrance, a man was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. One thing this event makes neon clear: Right now, Stone Cold Steve Austin is the hottest property not wrestling.
