- Many people who were backstage at RAW this past Monday night showed concern and unhappiness towards the comments Jerry Lawler made. For those who missed it, Lawler made mocking comments towards Maven's mother when she had cancer during the first Tough Enough season, making it seem like Maven played the "sympathy card" in order to win the contest. According to 12 WWE employees, what Lawler said was very out of line and there should be a reprecussion to follow. What even made the line more offensing is the fact that some WWE employees have family experiencing the same problems and when they heard what Lawler had to say, it also deeply offended them. Although what Lawler said was most likely scripted, it was still a wrestling show and anything serious like that should never be mentioned in the first place. (Although, it does seem like they are getting away with pretty much everything ever since the "Katie Vick" storyline) |
