    Report by TwRecks from http://www.lopforums.com

First off, the venue is literally brand new; it's the 18,000 seat Carolina
Center, which replaces the 8,000ish Carolina Coliseum as the home of the
University of South Carolina's basketball teams. So it's a state-of-the-art
facility and much bigger than Columbia's former WWE venue. I had bought
upper deck seats, and when I got there, they traded my tickets out to the
lower deck. The entire upper deck and the camera side to the level of the
camera were tarped off. Out of 12,000 max in the wrestling configuration,
I'd say they had 6,000 there. Not good... The crowd also seemed pretty
dead, at least compared to Greenville, SC, the other WWE venue I've been to.

    Dark matches

    Don Bishop? vs. Super Jay
Don was a medium sized high flyer and Jay was a Chuck Palumbo sized power
guy. Don was the face; Super Jay got several suplexes and power moves in
and won by a falcon arrow or possibly a Michinoku driver. The two moves are
similar enough, but I think it was a falcon arrow. Super Jay was pretty
    good; Bishop needed work.

Shannon Moore and Bobby Moore? vs. Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Hall?
Bobby Moore was the same size and looked very similar to Shannon; I guess
they were supposed to be (or are) brothers. Bobby Hall was about Benjamin's
size; pretty generic. The Moores were the faces, but lost when Benjamin hit
an Argentine backbreaker into a powerbomb on Shannon. Nice looking
    finisher.

    Velocity taping

    Redd Dogg vs. Rikishi
This was an excellent usage of Rikishi. He got the first good pops of the
night, hit all of his standard offense, including the Stinkface, and didn't
clutter up Smackdown. The Stinkface gets a big pop live. Pretty much a
squash; Rikishi won with the Banzai Drop. No dancing.

King Kabuchi vs. John Cena with Bull Buchanon
King Kabuchi was a small guy with spiky green hair. Cena did a generic
Vanilla Ice rap for heel heat, referring to Bull as his posse and calling
him "B squared," a play on his initials. Cena won cleanly with what I think
was the Protobomb, a spinning sidewalk slam. No interference from B
    squared.

    Crash vs. Funaki
Funaki's entrance video now says he's Smackdown's #1 announcer. Few spots,
especially for a cruiserweight match. Crash won via rollup when Funaki
failed on his own rollup attempt.

? and ? vs. Albert and Bill DeMott
Couldn't hear the jobbers' names. Albert strangely got a small entrance
pop. DeMott's entrance uses the Tough Enough cinder block logo with his
name in it. "Shave your back" chant, of course. The jobbers got about a
minute of heel-type work on Albert and DeMott's knees before the squash
commenced. The finish saw Albert's bicycle kick, to a decent pop, followed
by the No Laughing Matter for a fairly big pop and the pin. They might have
some potential as a power tag team like the APA.

Michael Cole was announced and entered, and then Earnest "the cat" Miller
was introduced as a guest announcer! He entered dancing to James Brown like
in WCW to a good pop. I suspect he'll do a good job, as he always had good
mike skills in WCW. No Tazz all night, as has been reported already.

    Smackdown

Stephanie came to the ring to start the show off. She talks a while,
sounding like she'll suspend Brock. Before she finishes, Brock's music
plays and he comes down to the ring. He comes to within inches of Stephanie
and says to tell him what she has to say to his face. Steph gets scared and
leaves to the top of the stage. 10 security guards then come to the bottom
of the ramp in front of Brock. Stephanie suspends Brock indefinately, and
then rips off her dad's "I didn't screw Brock (Bret); Brock screwed Brock"
line. She's in heel mode tonight from the looks of things. Steph leaves,
and Brock is escorted to the back peacfully going into the break.

Outside footage is shown with Brock threatening to use a guard's nightstick
on him as a thermometer if he gets too close. Brock gets in his SUV and
    leaves.

Edge and Rey vs. Matt Hardy v1.0 and John Cena with B squared (Bull
    Buchanon)
Edge and Rey get good pops, Matt gets good heat, Cena less so. Bull is
introduced as B squared, so I guess that's his official name now. Edge
plays the face in peril for a while, then tags Rey in. Matt gets drop toe
held face first into Cena's crotch at one point. B squared breaks up a 619.
Rey hits the 619 on Matt, but gets knocked off the apron by Cena before the
West Coast Pop. Edge spears Cena to the floor, then does a top rope
crossbody to Cena and B on the floor. Rey gets in the electric chair on
Matt, but Matt powerbombs him and holds the powerbomb position for the pin
with some help from the ropes. Good match.

Stephanie and Angle are seen in the back. They both make some heel cracks
on Columbia, then Steph blames her bad mood on having her period. Angle
doesn't get it, and doesn't know what PMS is when Steph asks him point
    blank. Break time.

Marc Loyd says that Brock may have been spotted coming back to the parking
lot. A limo pulls up containing Scott Steiner.

    Chuck Palumbo vs. Tajiri
Chuck has a Billy-less entrance video and brown hair now. Two funky
submission moves in this match (besides the obligitory Tarantula). In the
first Tajiri set up Chuck's legs for a STF, but then arched back over Chuck
to grab a chinlock. Very nice. Then Chuck did a reverse Boston crab, with
him facing Tajiri. The end saw the ref get out of position in a corner
spot, allowing the return of the green mist! A buzzsaw kick finished the
match off. Excuse me while I mark out for the mist now.

Steph is shown in her office, primping to prepare for an apparent attempt to
become Scott Steiner's freak of the moment or something. The door knocks
and she says come in, expecting Steiner. Instead, it's the Fabulous Moolah,
who's from Columbia. Steph makes a few more heelish comments and tries to
blame them on PMS again. She then offers Moolah a match against an umnamed
opponent; Moolah accepts at the break.

An anthology promo contains the tidbit that Lilian Garcia sang Torrie's
    entrance music.

Marc Loyd says someone saw a scalper sell Brock a ticket. He finds the
scalper, who first claims to not know who Brock is, and then wants the
    camera turned off. Pretty funny.

Matt Hardy talks to Big Show and Heyman, claiming to have been responsible
for Brock's suspension. Then Matt pretty much confirms his loyalties are
    with Heyman and not Lesnar.

Torrie is in an Indian squaw costume and runs into Kidman backstage. She
says she's in a Pilgrim fashion show, but doesn't know what that is. She is
happy that it's a chance to get at Dawn Marie though. At one point, Kidman
calls Torrie "Pocahotness". On to break.

It's on to the Pilgrim fashion show; Earnest Miller presides, and does a
very similar job to Tazz, which is a good thing. There's a table full of
Thanksgiving food in the ring. Torrie comes down in her squaw outfit. Dawn
Marie then comes down in a lowcut Pilgrim microdress. Finally, someone in a
Turkey mascot outfit walks down. Not the Gobbledygooker, but close: it's Al
Wilson. He says a few painfully boring things on the mike and is cut off by
Miller. Torrie then poses, revealing a fringed bikini under her outfit.
Dawn Marie poses in the microdress. She flaunts her engagement ring in
front of Torrie and the catfight/foodfight is on. Torrie wins, stripping
Dawn to her bra and panties, dumping a punchbowl on her, and finally dumping
a Jack-o-Lantern still full of pumpkin on her, leaving the pumpkin on her
head. You know, Anna Nicole probably would have done this storyline for
    cheap herself.

Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit vs. Los Guererros- tag title match
Angle gets "you suck" chants during his entrance, but "we want Angle" during
the match. Go figure. Angle hugs Benoit before the bell. The Guererros
hug, so Angle has to hug Benoit again. In the match, Angle and Benoit
engage in one-upsmanship, matching each other suplex for suplex, even
hitting stereo Germans. They then get into each others' face, letting the
Guererros sneak up the ramp. The ref refuses to count them out, so they
come back and sneak in a double team on Benoit. Benoit gets choked with the
tag rope at one point while playing face in peril. The hot tag is made, and
eventually both Guererros get Angle slammed. Angle breaks up the crossface
to do the ankle lock, which then gets broken. A double submission is broken
by the ref since it's an illegal double team. Chavo hits a frogsplash for
    2. Eddie gets thrown off the top by Angle when Eddie tries his own
frogsplash. The finish comes when Chavo hits Benoit with the belt, allowing
    Eddie to pin him.

Jamie Noble and Nidia are talking backstage when Scott Steiner walks by.
Noble introduces himself, but Steiner ignores him and slaps Nidia's butt on
the way by. Noble is furious; Nidia tries to calm him. Break.

Now Jamie Noble is in the ring and calls Steiner out. Steiner obliges and
the unofficial squash is on. Press slam, elbow drop, pushup taunt, belly to
belly, rolling thunder, buh-bye Jamie. Steiner slaps Nidia's butt again as
she exits the ring to see after Noble. He cuts a promo pretty much
identical to the ones he's done so far, poses, and leaves with the break.
    Still no brand committment.

Steph is in her office gawking at a picture of Steiner when the door knocks.
She thinks it's Steiner again, but this time it's Heyman. They talk a few
minutes; Steph says that Big Show will defend the title against an unnamed
    opponent tonight.

Kidman vs. Crash- cruiserweight title match
At one point, Crash hits the Dudley Dawg for a 2 count. Kidman slips out of
a powerbomb as usual, then hits a skyhigh followed by the Shooting Star
Press for the win. Totally dead crowd until the SSP; Kidman needs a
    storyline BADLY.

Last segment coming up, and who are still supposed to fight tonight? Uh
oh... Sure enough, Moolah and Big Show are both coming to the ring on split
screen. I'd say Stephanie's a heel now, all right...

The Fabulous Moolah vs. Big Show- WWE title match
Moolah actually has a decent entrance video with old black and white footage
of her. Big hometown pop. When she realizes she's fighting Big Show, she
hides behind the referee. Heyman gets a mike and says that since it's
Thanksgiving and they respect her past work, Show won't hurt her. Unless,
that is, Show thinks of her as Brock... Show sets for the chokeslam. Brock
then comes running through the crowd for the save, allowing Moolah to get
away. The fight spills to the outside and Brock gets the upper hand.
Fireman's carry, and Brock F5's Big Show through the announce table! Pop of
the night, obviously. Brock looks around for Heyman, but security and Steph
have gotten between them as the show ends. Big "Brock" chant.

Not much happens after the taping. Steph and Heyman leave. Brock plays to
the crowd for a moment, then suddenly rushes past security to the back. Big
Show finally staggers up and leaves.

    That's it...
