Interesting Notes: Spanky used several Japanese style maneuvers, the Malenko calf kicks, the Shinobi,... good athlete. Rikishi had the pop of the night with the referee and ring announcer waiting to see which side would pop biggest for the three of them to dance.
Rey Jr, Kidman, Shannon Moore all came out during the last 4 or 5 matches and sat near the curtain at the music table, signed some autographs... and politely kept the crowd clapping (by starting the claps) during the Cena vs Polumbo match. Red Dog was a poor resemblance to many, Rick Steiner, Junk Yark Dog, and attempted the "Hoo hoo" chants of Rick. Not sure how it ended, by pin, but a good restroom trip. Even the efforts of the cruiserweights couldn't get the crowd into this one.
Having read ahead I did not expect a great effort... though I was thoroughly impressed with new found gloryman- Chris Benoit, gave us 2 headbutts for the 2500 there. He wants that belt or at least another run like he had against the Rock couple years back for main events. No Angle, Brock (they screwed Greensboro last time advertising Brock for Raw and ended up being the show he skipped to join SmackDown before SSlam.)
Great efforts by some, lack by many - great fans on Mattitude's hometown influence by Booing his ass out of the building, and he told us he wasn't happy when they advertised Mattitude for Raliegh and no one showed, "You are going to boo me in Raleigh, NC" even I was surprised. Better show would have been Chalreston and Raw- knew some locals doing the dark matches...Big swerve of the night: Billy Kidman now a heel.
