Got to the War memorial at about 7:00. I bought a Mattitude T-Shirt and went to my seat. I was 3rd back from the ring and that was pretty cool. Here are the matches.
Shelton Benjamin, Charlie Haas & Sean O'Haire vs. Buchanan, Red Dog & Albert
Albert won the match for his team after a baldo bomb on Sean O'Hair. Sean was the only one who looked really good in the match. Lots of "shave your back" chants to Albert. solid opener.
Shannon Moore & Spanky vs. Guido & Crash
Shannon Moore and Spanky won this match. Guido looked good and was wearing his FBI tights. Funny stuff with Guido and Crash.
Funaki & Chuck vs. John Cena & Doug Basham
Chuck and Funaki won when Doug Tapped out to a inverted boston crab by Chuck. Lots of "Cena Sucks" chants.
Rikishi vs. Matt Hardy - Kiss My Ass Match
Rikishi won with a super kick. Booooo! I was hooting for Matt hardy, he was good on the mic, and his actions were hilarious. At the end Matt left the ring, but the ref said that he had to Kiss Rikishi's ass, or else he would be suspended. Matt instead gave Rikishi a low blow and a twist of fate. Then he tried to give Rikishi a stinkface but Rikishi reversed it and gave Matt one. Poor Matt.
Eddie & Chavo Guerrero vs. Kurt Angle & Chris Benoit - WWE Tag Titles
Best Match of the night easily. Bout ended when Chavo hit Angle with the Tag title and was pinned. After the match Angle and Benoit beat each other up a little pulling off their finishers. Good stuff.
Intermission
Nidia vs. Dawn Marie - Bra & Panties Match - Referee: Funaki
For some reason 2 things happened. 1- Funaki was not the ref. 2- Instead of Torrie, Nidia came out and did the match. Ended with Dawn taking off Nidia's shorts.
Billy Kidman vs. Tajiri vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Jamie Noble (w/Nidia) - CW Title
Awsome Match. Rey hit the 6-1-9 on Tajiri and Kidman gave Tajiri a lifting Powerbomb for the win. HUGE pop for Rey.
The Big Show (w/Paul Heyman) vs. Edge - WWE Title
It was an OK bout. Ended with Edge giving Show 3 spears, but Paul pulled the ref out. Chokeslam for Edge and the 1-2-3. Pops for Edge when he got back up after the match
All in all, it was a great house show. Im glad I went.
