Today during the WWE's conference call to announce their second quarter financial records, Linda McMahon spoke on a number of different items concerning the WWE:
The show that took place in New Dehli, India today drew 18,000 fans.
The World in New York will be undergoing some major changes in the early part of 2003, with the WWE taking more notice of it on WWE TV and sending superstars there to make appearances.
Talked about HHH as Stephanie's "new boyfriend" and mentioned that he was a major star before the relationship started. She denied rumors of HHH's backstage influence.
There was also mention about the failing house show attendance and one person even compared it to the old WCW in it's final days. While the WWE are better at business, right now from a product standpoint, it's heading down the same road as WCW did near the end.
During the conference, Linda put over Brock Lesnar, Triple H, "Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner, and "HBK" Shawn Michaels as the company's big stars while Edge & Test were called "New stars in the making."
She was also asked about "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. She did say that they have talked with him several times but at this point, she doesn't know if he will return to the WWE.
