Austin stated that he has learned from this ordeal and claimed this has been a learning experience and vowed to reporters at the courthouse that he would never be seen there again. Austin is scheduled for another hearing on November 15 and show a plea agreement not be reached beforehand, the case goes to trial on December 3rd. The HHH/Katie Vick segment on RAW was half edited out during the Australian version. It started of fine, but as soon as HHH started to fondled the breasts of the dummy, they cut to flowers and other parts of the Funeral Home, they cut back as soon as HHH had finished.
Tiffinny Sciliano sent in the following:
Roddy Piper,Bam Bam Bigelow, and Konnan were guests on Chairshots Radio this past week. The show can be heard any time at http://www.chairshots.com and Rod Siciliano is the host. Here are some highlights from those interviews:
***Roddy Piper***
-Roddy talked about Mick Foley, and said he is really the first to come out and do a wrestling book and everyone else has kind of followed suit. He said he pioneered it.
-He talked about Hogan and Foley backing off when Piper started talking about a union on Larry King Live. One of them made the comment that "usually the guys who don't make it are bitter." Piper said he didn't want to sound bitter, but wanted them to stand up.
-Roddy on his book: "My book isn't as superficial as some of the others have been written...this goes back to how things got started."
-He talked about working with Cyndi Lauper and talking to her manager. He asked him if she could work with her without hurting her. Roddy then talked about someone coming up later and mentioning that "the end of her career could be the beginning of yours." Piper said his book is full of these types of stories.
-Piper said Piper's Pit came about when he told Vince (I think he's talking about Vince Sr. at this point) to give him five weeks, and if he couldn't get something going he would leave. This of course, led to the coconut incident with Snuka. Piper said the most asked question he gets from the angle is "man, where did you get the coconut?" He said he injured Snuka for life, and he isn't proud of that one.
-Rod asked Roddy the differences between Vince Sr. and Jr. Roddy said "man.. you're really putting me against the wall."
-Vince Sr. had an idea for how a wrestling business should be run. Roddy then said everything Vince Jr. has done has been a failure, except for the one his dad gave him.
-Roddy said he talks about the "sickness" that's infected the wrestling business and at the height of it is Vince McMahon Jr.
-On Vince Jr.: "Would you let your daughter walk out in a room full of people chanting "slut" at her?"
-On WWE: "It seems to me they are catering to a gay audience instead of a wrestling audience. They have Pat Patterson out there pulling his pants down, and there is a skid mark."
-He said Vince Jr. does have some charisma and is really inventive, especially in PPV. Bischoff was willing to pay the wrestlers well and was willing to spend money. He said Vince was more creative then Bischoff. He said Bischoff looked at the big picture and knew what he wanted, but he didn't know how to get there.
-Roddy didn't think WCW's problem was the guaranteed contracts. Rod asked him what the problem was, Roddy replied, "...man, I want to meet you...you like putting me against the wall." He talked about the NWO and Hogan, and how that brought in interest and how he came in and cut a promo at the end of a PPV. He said his two PPV mains with Hogan broke buyrate records for the company. He said they kept wanting him to job, when he didn't see the point because they were drawing. He said Nash and Hall were upset over him. He said Nash busted into the room and was yelling at him, saying "he thought he ran the company." He talked some about Russo coming in. He sent a tape in to the company with a proposal on how to get them turned around and was asking them, since the ratings were down, why they had him on the bench. He said WCW neer acknowledged his tape until they got into litigation.
"The amount of sickness in the wrestler is directly proportional to the amount of manipulation from the promoter. What has been done to these guys; the head games, the jealousy, that kind of stuff they prey on...they literally kill a man... I can give you a modern day example of this. The XWF was trying to get started...I was in the room about five months later and these people were blaming the wrestlers who were trying so hard...people had uprooted to Florida from Atlanta some of them... promised them a years contract. Four or five months into it, they lay down a sheet of paper in front of them, if you all sign this this letter we'll give you two weeks pay and the contract is off. If you don't all sign it, you don't get anything... There was this man named Mike Lima (SP), he was crying so hard, I actually heard him say "I'm going to have a heart attack, I got children.." He was the last guy to hold out on it, they went at it all day and he had pressure from all the other guys....they killed him man. If that ain't murder... You know how many guys I've seen them do that to?"
***Bam Bam Bigelow***
-Bam Bam Bigelow on why he's starting a wrestling school: "They aren't teaching them philosphy, they arent teaching them charisma. All they are teaching them is high spots." He's getting help from Chris Candido.
-He started in Memphis then made his way to World Class under "Crusher Yurkoff." "Crusher Yurkoff was as close to "jerkoff" as they could call me..."
-On the Lawrence Taylor 'Mania match: "It killed my career, because of "the Clique." All I know.. I was turned face and everyone, Dibiase, was beating me....at the time Shawn Michaels, Diesel and Scott Hall ran the company." "That match, it was like taking chicken shit and turning it into chicken salad. I blew that boy up big time. We got so much respect from those guys after that, you wouldn't believe it." "I told him five minute before we went out, and I said this in front of Vince and everyone. I said "L.T., if you f*** up I'll beat you 1-2-3 right in the middle of the ring, and there isn't anything you can do about it.""
-On ECW: "I had a good time, it was a blast. I had a lot of guys move up to the next level." "Some guys are selfish and they don't want to pass things along. They are afraid of getting passed over."
-On Shane Douglas: "Fuck Shane, he's a pussy." Later on, Bam Bam said he was joking and was good buddies with Douglas.
***Konnan***
-He's going to be a part of the WWA tour of the UK in late November, early December. He's keeping really busy, especially in Puerto Rico and on the indy circuit. He talked about the fans having a lot more emotion in Puerto Rico because they still kayfabe and keep the heels and faces away from each other in public. He said they had to bring in the riot police after he brought in a mariachi band to propose to Carlos Colon's daughter, and then cracked her in the head with a guitar.
-On touring Lebanon: "...they kept asking Stevie about the spin-a-roonie and about the "five time former WCW champion."
"The only reason people didn't attack is is because they had Lebanese police all around Beirut."
"This one group of people had a megaphone, I asked a translator who they were, and they told me they were Hezbollah, an Iranian financed terrorist group. They were asking for donations."
