Report by Bryan T. Parker Report by Randy Rhea, wrestlingobserver.com DARK MATCHES 1.) Bill DeMott/The Big Valbowski defeated Shelton Benjamin/R.C. Haas-Pretty basic match that saw DeMott/Valbowski win when Valbowski hit the Money Shot on Haas. 2.) Jerry "The King" Lawler defeated Redd Dogg-Lawler got a pretty big pop as you'd expect in Memphis. Classic Lawler match as Dogg pounds on him, Lawler comes back by pulling the strap down and hits the fistdrop off the second rope for the victory. VELOCITY 1.) Funaki defeated Crash Holly-Solid match that saw Funaki score the victory reversing a rollup into one of his own. 2.) D-Von/Ron Simmons defeated Chase Stevens (from TNA's Hot Shots)/Big Bully Douglass- Squash match as Simmons hits Stevens with the Spinebuster and D-Von then nails the headbutt off the top rope for the victory. 3.) (Bikini Match) Torrie Wilson defeated Nidia-Horrible match as Wilson rolls up Nidia for the victory. The crowd paid more attention to them in bikinis than the match itself. 4.) Albert defeated Chuck Palumbo-Bad match. Albert hit the Baldo Bomb for the victory. Before Smackdown began, Matt Hardy did a promo running down Memphis and Elvis Presley, making sure everyone knew to boo him. SMACKDOWN 1.) Rikishi defeated Matt Hardy-Average match as Rikishi wins with the Rikishi Driver. After the match, he starts dancing, until Big Show comes out and chokeslams him and then gets on the mic and says he's come to Smackdown to make an impact and challenged Brock Lesnar for the WWE Title (Dear God). Brock Lesnar/Paul Heyman arrive to the arena Stephanie McMahon comes out to present a big trophy to new Smackdown tag champs Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit. Angle starts bragging about how he won the titles all by himself and then Benoit grabs the mic and does the same, and then they start fighting over who gets to have the trophy and end up ripping it apart and knocking down Stephanie in the process. She gets up and slaps both men and says they get to settle their problems one-on-one in a match later tonight (YESSSSSS!!!!!!!!!) with the winner getting the trophy. Before the next match, Lawler did a promo with Tajiri, where Tajiri ends up singing Jerry Lee Lewis's Great Balls of Fire, to make sure he gets cheered 2.) (WWE Cruiserweight Title Match) Jamie Noble (with Nidia) defeated Tajiri to retain the title-Noble came out in a Elvis jacket and wig with sunglasses, and did a lame Presley imitation. Pretty good match, crowd wasn't into it though. Noble rolls up Tajiri and bridges for the victory. Dawn Marie is in the back looking for Torrie Wilson 3.) (To determine the No. 1 Contenders for the Smackdown Tag Titles) Edge/Rey Misterio defeated The Guerreros-Damn good match. Chavo has Edge pinned, when Rey hits a springboard legdrop on Chavo and puts on Edge on top for the victory. I won't give away too much , but I'll tell you it was damn good. Undertaker arrives to the arena Undertaker comes out and starts talking about Hell In The Cell Sunday when Heyman interrupts and then Lesnar comes out and stares face to face with Taker. Taker talks about how people tell him if it wasn't for his broken hand, he would've beat Lesnar, but he said that was no excuse and basically says that Lesnar was the better man that day and goes on to say that even messing with his family wasn't an excuse for Taker losing the match. Lesnar said that he had to do it to get the edge (That's what it sounded like he said, I couldn't hear all of this real well). Lesnar leaves and Taker starts talking again and it sounds like he's about to announce his retirement when Big Show comes out and says he couldn't believe that he said Lesnar was the better man in the Cell. He says he always used to kick his ass and says he's a has-been. Taker then says that he'd rather be a has-been than a giant that never was. Taker catches Show trying to attack him as he leaves, and just when it looks like the coast is clear, Taker starts saluting the fans when Show blindsides him and then presslams off the stage to the floor. Edge/Misterio a few other wrestlers and Stephanie tend to him as he starts getting carried out on a stretcher, but he gets up and decides to walk on his own. John Cena cuts a promo before the next match basically saying everything about Memphis sucks so people would boo him. 4.) Billy Kidman defeated John Cena-Good match for the time it lasted. After the match, Cena layed out Kidman. Dawn Marie spots Funaki and asks him to look for Al Wilson and to send him to Torrie because she's looking for him. Funaki sees him, tells him and Dawn catches him and says that they shouldn't see other any more and Al then gives her a big kiss. Marc Loyld interviews Lesnar and asks him if he accepts Big Show's challenge for the title. Lesnar says if Show wants to see him about a title shot all he has to do is find him. Show goes to his lockerroom and after Heyman talks to him for a bit, Lesnar walks up to him and accepts Show's challenge for the title. 5.) Chris Benoit defeated Kurt Angle-Great match, not as good as the Unforgiven match, but damn good, but the crowd wasn't into it though. Again I won't give away much, but it was damn good. The Guerreros get involved at the finish helping Benoit out for the victory. A pissed off Angle Angle Slams Benoit and destroys his trophy to close out the show. Afterwards, The Guerreros come out and say Benoit and them are Smackdown through and through (basically they're like family), but then Lesnar comes out and F5's everyone and says he is Smackdown. This all happened when cameras stopped. *NEW GALLERY* Very PRIVATE Shots of Maria & CM Punk MAKING OUT!!
