Ultimo Dragon will be in the U.S. working the EPIC show in southern California on 11/17.
ZERO-ONE and NWA-TNA apparently have a working relationship now. It was announced that Roddy Piper and Jeff Jarrett will appear in ZERO-ONE at their 12/15 show. President of ZERO-ONE, Shinya Hashimoto, will most likely be coming to the United States late this December to be a part of a few NWA-TNA weekly PPV’s.
Tatsuhito Takaiwa announced that he will be doing a run-in during All Japan’s 10/19 show when the Jr. World Title match takes place between the champion Kendo Ka Shin and Jimmy Yang. Takaiwa wants to challenge the winner to a match for the title later on down the road.
Masahiro Chono made the announcement that Bob Sapp will challenge for the IWGP Heavyweight Title at New Japan’s 1/04/03 Tokyo Dome show. Chono will be challenging for the title on 10/26 against champion Yuji Nagata at the Fukuoka International Center.
Bob Sapp announced that he will participate on the 11/17 WRESTLE-1 show at Yokohama Arena. He expects to face Great Muta.
Strong rumors are that when Yoshihiro Takayama returns from his injuries, he will become a mainstay in New Japan Pro Wrestling, which would be very good for the company since recently losing Kensuke Sasaki. Takayama wants to re-form Team No Fear with New Japan young lion, Kenzo Suzuki, when he returns.
In response to Kenta Kobashi using the Diamond Head at yesterday’s NOAH show, Jun Akiyama has stated that he is currently working on a new move called “Sterness Dust”.
GHC Heavyweight Champion, Mitsuharu Misawa, apparently injured his left leg today after doing an elbow suicida during his match. There have yet to be any reports on how serious the injury is and if he will be missing any ring time.
