WWE release Hogan, Awesome, and Stasiak; Overnight SD! rating, more

    WWE release three wrestlers

    World Wrestling Entertainment has released Horace Hogan, Mike Awesome, and Planet Stasiak. Each was given 90-day notices, which is standard operating procedure when a wrestler is released. This means they will receive severance pay and not be able to wrestling for another promotion till late December.

    SmackDown Overnight rating falls

    SmackDown!'s overnight rating this week scored a 4.3, down from last weeks 4.6. This is by no means the disaster it appears because NBC began running new episodes of its Thursday night line-up including episodes of its popular shows "Friends," "Will & Grace," and "ER" which greatly increased competition.

    Mick Foley starting work on his next book

    Mick Foley has begun work on his next book, which will be on Baseball and New York. Apparently Foley was a huge baseball fan growing up but lost interest once he began his wrestling career. He is currently studying the sport to catch up in preparation for his new book. There is no news when the book is planned to be released or who is publishing it at this stage.
