"Rocco Rock" Teddy Petty passes away

Another death has hit the wrestling world as late last night. Teddy Petty, better known to wrestling fans as Rocco Rock from the tag team Public Enemy, passed away of a massive heart attack.

So far, there aren't many details coming out but Petty apparently passed away around 10-10:30 p.m. Saturday night (9/21). He had wrestled former WCW wrestler Crowbar at the Jersey City show in the first match of the evening due to not only Crowbar having to wrestle again in Elizabeth, NJ but Teddy was supposed to wrestle again for 3PW in a 3PW Heavyweight Championship match against Gary Wolfe.

Another sad note is that Teddy was supposed to be getting married on October 26th.

Many fans will remember the Public Enemy from their stint in ECW with multiple reigns as the ECW Tag Team Champions. The PE also made an impact in WCW where they won the WCW Tag Team Championship and fueded in some wild hardcore battles with the Nasty Boys. They also had a brief stint in the WWE.
