Austin's court date set, Recap of Bischoff on Best Damn Sports Show. Submitted by Matthew Tremley on Friday, September 20, 2002 at 9:47 PM EST
In the San Antonio Express-News, there was a story covering Steve Austin's appearance before the Bexar County, TX court today. Austin was in court to answer the charges from the June 15th incident in which his wife Debra called local police after a domestic incident. After today's hearing, Austin is now set to go before an actual jury on the misdemeanor charge on October 9th. Austin claims that he and his wife Debra have reconciled after the initial divorce proceedings which he started were dropped. Austin's attorney believes that the case will be settled well before going in front of a jury.
WWE Raw General Manager Eric Bischoff was on The Best Damn Sports Show Period tonight on Fox Sports Net. Here is my recap.
Before going to commercial they show Eric kick boxing a punching bag and say he's on next.
Before Eric comes out John Kruk takes over because he knows wrestling. He gives a quick bio on Eric in WCW and WWE. They then show parts of the Billy and Chuck commitment ceremony.
Out comes Eric, Tom Arnold talks about how few people knew Eric was the justice of the peace during the commitment ceremony. Eric said it took about four hours to do the makeup and before the show he talked to people he knew with the makeup and voice and they had no idea it was him.
Kruk mentions getting kicked in the nuts by Stephanie McMahon, he said they didn't practice it.
Eric promotes Unforgiven and a martial arts reality show he's working on and also something to do with auto racing.
They show old clips of Dennis Rodman in WCW and talk about Eric bringing him to the wrestling world.
They plug Unforgiven one more time and thank him for coming on.
