First off, throughout the main event the crowd was solidly behind Lesnar, and boos for Rocky and “Rocky Sucks” chants we’re abundant. Why, who knows? But it was rather unexpected. I make this point because I’m not too confident that the televised version of the PPV reflected these events.
After the cameras went off, Rock got to his feet to a plethora of boos from the crowd. Rock took the stick. “FINALLY….” The crowd cut the Rock off with more boos. “FINALLY………” More boos “the Rock…….” Big Rocky Sucks chant kicks up, for about 10 seconds, and a mild case of “Ass Hole”. “Ah it doesn’t matter where the Rock comes back too!!!” Mild cheers and a hoard of boos, as the Rock went for the trademark line. “If you smelelelelelell…” The crowd at the Coliseum just didn’t want to hear it, and the Rock gave them what they wanted. “Fine, Sing along with the Rock is now…..over”. The great one’s music hits, and the show officially ended.
