This week's show opened with the first in the best of three series between AJ Styles and Jerry Lynn. This was a Falls Count Anywhere match. The men went all around the building before Lynn scored the pin with a cradle piledriver on the stage.
Goldylocks interviewed James Storm and Chris Harris. Harris again told Storm to stop doing the Cowboy gimmick. Just then, their opponents for the night, Brian Lee and Ron Harris, came into the screen. Lee told Chris Harris to get himself a real partner because he would need it for their match.
As it turned out, Lee was wrong because Harris and Storm got the pin on Ron Harris when Lee went nuts and attacked a ringside fan. As Ron went to see what his partner was doing, he got pinned from behind.
In the battle of the Flying Elvises, Sonny Siaki and Jimmy Yang split the first two falls of their best of three match. The third fall was hard fought, with Siaki beating his partner when he turned a Yang suplex attempt into the Money Clip. Siaki scored the pinfall and won the match.
Jeff Jarrett came out and complained about the mysteriousness of the surprise that Bob Armstrong had for him tonight. Brian Lawler came out and once again attacked Jarrett. They brawled until security broke the two men up and Jarrett was taken to the back. Goldylocks came out and tried to get Lawler to tell him what Jarrett did to him. Lawler told her to take a hike. Lawler was about to tell us what Jarrett did when Slash came into the ring and attacked him. We then found out that Slash was Lawler's scheduled opponent tonight and the match was on. Slash attacked Lawler early on, but Brian came back and beat Slash with the Tennessee Jam.
Backstage, Jeff Jarrett and Bob Armstrong faced off. Jarrett was irate with Armstrong for pulling the surprise on him. He said he would get him.
Low Ki then defended the X Division Title against The SAT (Jose and Joel Maximo and the Amazing Red). It was another X Division classic that saw Joel pin his brother for the first elimination. Red then pinned Joel, leaving it as Red vs. Low Ki. The champion kept his title when he hit the Ki Krusher on Red.
Goldy interviewed Ron "The Truth" Killings, who said that he wasn't going to give up the NWA World Heavyweight Title any time soon. He told Monty Brown he wouldn't be the man to take his title.
April Hunter was shown at ringside. Mike Tenay informed us that she would be challenging Bruce for the Miss TNA crown soon.
True to his word, Killings retained the NWA World Heavyweight Title by turning a Brown Alpha Bomb attempt into a sunset flip, scoring the win. After the match, Jarrett came down and hit Brown with a chair. He and Killings brawled until Lawler came out and attacked Jarrett. Killings held Jarrett for a chairshot but Jarrett moved and Lawler hit the champ by accident instead. Jarrett left.
Goldylocks tried to interview Jerry Lynn when AJ Styles came out for the second fall of their match, which was under No Disqualification rules. Just as they had earlier in the night, the two men fought valiantly. Styles managed to even the series when he hit the Styles Clash on a chair for the pin. Tied up at one fall apiece, it was on to the third fall of the match, which was contested under Ironman rules. That meant whoever scored the most pins in ten minutes would get the victory, the X Division Title shot and bragging rights.
As a true testament to how evenly matched these two are, the bout ended tied at three pins apiece. Low Ki then came down to ringside. Lynn raised both Ki and Styles' hands, then attacked them. After the melee, Low Ki said that he would give both men a shot at his title next week, in a triple ladder match!
In the back, ref Scott Armstrong was telling his father Bob to not to "do it". Goldy tried to figure out what was going on, but Scott shooed her away. Don West and Mike Tenay assumed that Bob was going to become his alter ego, the Bullet.
Back in the ring, Jarrett demanded to know what the surprise was. Out came the masked Bullet. Jarrett laughed at Bullet, then attacked him. Jarrett said that Bullet was something 20 years ago, but not now. He said he would hit the Stroke and then unmask him but the Bullet came back. Then, Bob Armstrong appeared on the stage with a chair so the Bullet Jarrett was fighting was obviously not him. The show ended with us not knowing who the Bullet was.
