Hulk Hogan was NOT at the Smackdown tapings whatsoever last night, and it appears that he might not be on WWE programming anytime soon. It's said that "financial concerns" are the reasons for Hogan not being there, due to the possible dispute between himself and Vince McMahon. Out of 140 prime time shows rated last week, WWE Smackdown was ranked #80 against mostly reruns and with its lowest rating in the show's history. This Variety Article confirms that the recent WWE Smackdown rating was the lowest rated show in its history on UPN. It also agrees with the notion, though, that it was lower due to being pre-empted in both New York City and Los Angeles. Hip Interactive Corporation, Canada's leading provider of PC and video games, released their 1st Quarter results, and for 2002, Wrestlemania X-8 for the Game Cube is their 3rd best selling video game, behind Stuntman and Grand Theft Auto 3, two games who advertise on WWE shows ironically.
