Backstage heat on Eric Bischoff, Bischoff vs. Vince?; and more

One of the main reasons why Eric Bischoff was brought along a few weeks ago was to help out Vince McMahon by reducing his time on television. It is highly considered at this time that eventually Vince will return and a match will be hyped up between the two. The original plan for Bischoff and WWE, which didn’t occur for various reasons, came about last summer when Vince had the idea to bring Bischoff in for a one-month type deal that would climax at the Invasion pay-per-view with a match between McMahon and Bischoff.
There is quite a bit of heat between Bischoff and many of the wrestlers as most people would assume, including wrestlers that Bischoff has never dealt with before. Several wrestlers were even said to be offended at Bischoff’s conduct backstage at his first Raw appearance. Aside from the top names on the WWE roster, Bischoff didn’t attempt to go out of his way to introduce himself to anyone that he hadn’t been in contact with in the past.
Many longtime WWE wrestlers were against the initial decision to hire Bischoff because they had stayed with WWE during the Monday Night Wars and were apparently offended when WCW wrestlers invaded WWE last year and started to get bigger pushes than the WWE talent, along with that, many were upset at the fact that Bischoff was brought in a few weeks ago with such a major push to start out.
There are still many within the company that are in favor of Bischoff’s role as long as it does good for current business. Bischoff has been telling everybody that he is having a wonderful time with this new role, and he as also stated that with his WWE contract he can also continue to work on his outside projects for television, most notably the one with Mark Burnett, producer of "Survivor".
