- NWA-TNA have fired Jay Hassman, their pay-per-view consultant, after the promotion found out that Hassman has been working for Team Services, which markets WWE pay-per-views. Reportedly, Hassman was also misleading NWA-TNA about buyrates as well as clearances with Cablevision and Dish Network. NWA-TNA found out about Hassman's connection with WWE on July 10 after an official for InDemand explained it to them. The promotion is expected to file a lawsuit within the next few days.
- WWE will be releasing an album titled Anthology on October 22nd. The album will feature two CDs that will contain never before released entrance themes as well as other songs. Initial pressings of the album, which will sell for $24.99, will contain a bonus third CD.
