XPW TV Recap [New Triple Threat] - July 27th, 2002
Report by Jonathan Siderman
- XPW TV starts off with a special message from the new XPW World Heavyweight Champion, "The Franchise" Shane Douglas. He and Lizzy Borden played Rob Black as Douglas sat back for 15 months and collected paychecks. There once was a man who needed a Franchise, his name was Paul Heyman. Shane Douglas took ECW on his shoulders and the rest is history. Lizzy needed a Franchise, XPW needed a Franchise, and they called Shane Douglas. The Franchise is back to put XPW on the map on the East Coast. Shane Douglas gives Rob Black an ultimatum, it's either Extreme Associates or XPW. For now, it's Good-bye Los Angeles and Good-Bye Rob Black.
- A new XPW TV musical montage airs, featuring Shane Douglas' victory over Webb at Night of Champions only one week ago.
- Kris Kloss, now the lone and sole XPW TV host that's been in XPW since the beginning, goes over the happenings of the Night of Champions from one week ago.

* "The Franchise" Shane Douglas defeats Webb to win the XPW World Heavyweight Championship, then joins up with Rob Black's wife Lizzy Borden
- In another segment backstage from Night of Champions, we see "The Franchise" Shane Douglas talking about the greatness of the Triple Threat. Now in XPW, it's time to surround themselves with gold, with champions. "The Franchise" asks Supreme if he's tough enough to be apart of the Triple Threat, tough enough to take apart wrestlers and leave them for the prey of Shane Douglas? Supreme is tough enough, the Deathmatch Champion is tough enough to throw up the Triple Threat sign. On August 31st, "The Franchise" and the Triple Threat head to the EC... no, the XPW Arena. It's time to take the East Coast to the Xtreme!
- A music video airs of the relationship between Rob Black and Lizzy Borden, beginning to end at the Night of Champions.
- Kris Kloss gives his thoughts about Rob Black, actually siding with him in this situation. Rob Black was always good to Lizzy Borden, but the wench had to turn her back and join up with her soon-to-be-husband "The Franchise" Shane Douglas. Now that the Triple Threat is in XPW, who will be the third member? Will we find out on August 31st at the former ECW Arena?
- Night of Champions - [Tag Team Championship Match, 4 Corner Elimination]
Pogo the Clown & Juantastico vs. American Wild Child & Shady vs. Mexico's Most Wanted (Damien 666 & Halloween) vs. The New Panthers (K. Malik Shabazz & Salid Jihad)
The first ever XPW Tag Team Championship belts look amazing, fitting for the winners of this match. K Malik started off with Shady, controlling him early on. Irish whip by Malik, reversed into a huge DDT by Shady. Shady taged in Pogo the Clown thinking Pogo would now take on Malik. Shabazz did one better and taged in Halloween. Halloween shoved Pogo several times, but Pogo just retaliated with a kick to the face. The evil clown controls Halloween and forced him to tag his partner in. Damien dove off the top rope onto Pogo as Mexico's Most Wanted double team the 300lbs + man and hit a double vertical suplex! Pogo showed his true strength and rose to dominate Damien 666. Juantastico was tagged and used his arial manuevers on both Damien 666 and Salid Jihad. Jihad counters and hits a huge sitting chokeslam and tags in his partner Malik. Small package by K Malik for a three count. Ringside, Pogo became angered and put Juantastico through a car window! Back in the ring, Damien 666 was dominating American Wild Child. An enormous Lucha Libre chant broke out as Damien showed his high flying style of wrestling. AWC tagged in Halloween, who now had to face his partner Damien. Instead, they double teamed AWC, who got his crouch crushed on the ring post. Shady was tagged in as he begans to C-walk, but gets hit with a side kick from Halloween! Halloween is dragged out of the ring by AWC as Shady attempted a senton to the outside. He missed the target and lands on his partner the American Wild Child. Back in the ring Shady was pinned after a modified neckbreaker by Damien 666. Salid is double-teamed by Mexico's Most Wanted, but hit a spear out of no where, and landed a huge Death Valley Driver! K Malik and Halloween were now in, exchanging clotheslines and splashes. Jihad tagged in, but this would be no help as Halloween kicked Raphael in the face, and droped Damien 666 on Muhammed! Damien went for the pin as K Malik was being held by Lady Victoria. Damien 666 got the win for his team and Mexico's Most Wanted were crowned first ever XPW Tag Team Champions.
- As Mexico's Most Wanted and Lady Victoria are talking about their victory backstage, The New Panthers attack the new XPW Tag Team Champions. This war is far from over, will we see them collide on August 31st at Viking Hall? Or will new territory bring in threats?
- The ramifications of Webb leaving XPW, the aftermath of Shane Douglas becoming XPW World Heavyweight Champion, can be witnessed on August 31st at the former ECW Arena during XPW's "Hostile Takeover". For ticket information, visit XPW's website XPWrestling.com for more details!
- XPW TV ends off with a music video cut to the happenings of the Night of Champions. What a night it was, a night that will go down in the Xtreme record books.
