WWE House Show Results from Houston, Texas 7-26-02

World Wrestling Entertainment Tower of Power Tour Friday, July 26, 2002 Compaq Center Houston, Texas
Howard Finkel makes his way to the ring and does his usual safety precautions routine and has everyone rise for the National Anthem. And here we go Boom! Opening Pyros hit and this Houston crowd was jakked as usual.
Match 1 Tommy Dreamer vs. Steven Richards Steven come out first to a lot of heat and does a couple of ring poses and taunts the crowd. Tommy then walks the ramp to a mixed reaction. This is by far the worst match of the evening, although an ECW chant arouse. Tommy Dreamer went to the top rope attempting a high-risk move and Richards hit the Super kick and got the three count. Winner By Pinfall: Steven Richards
Match 2 Matt Hardy vs. Raven Raven got decent reaction for a low-carded heel. He came down the ramp and did his usual rope pose. Then Matt Hardy's music hit crowd went crazy. This was a great match. This two went back and fourth with some hard punches. Raven goes for the Raven Effect, Hardy counters and goes for the Twist of Fate and Raven counters with a Twist of Fate of his own and got a two count. Hardy went for his leg drop Raven roll up Hardy and used the rope for extra leverage and got the pinfall victory. After the match Matt Hardy argued with the ref did a short pose and left. Winner By Pinfall: Raven
Match 3 Divas' Tag Team Match Trish Stratus & Linda Miles vs. Molly Holly & Jackie Gayda Molly got of heat, everyone was calling her a fat ass. Of coarse Trish got the biggest Pop. Good match short and sweet Trish & Linda get the win. After the match Trish & Linda do several ring poses and leave. Winners By Pinfall: Trish Stratus & Linda Miles
Match 4 Shelton Benjamin vs. Justin Credible Credible came out first to some major heat and did two ring poses. Shelton Benjamin then came out to a silent reaction because no one knew him. He used an old Triple H theme song. Shelton was an All-American at University of Minnesota with Brock Lesnar. Shelton looked great and got a couple of near falls but Credible rolled him grabbed the tights for the win. After the match Shelton got a great Pop he earned our respect tonight. Winner By Pinfall: Justin Credible
Howard Finkel comes to the ring and introduces the Heart Break Kid Shawn Michaels. Sexy Boy hits and he gets and unbelievable POP. He does a rope pose then enters the ring and does his signature pose and his music stops. A thunderous H-B-K chant starts. Shawn asked everyone if they saw what happen on Raw, then a chorus of boos start directed at Triple H. Shawn said four years ago there would have been no way that would have happened without a match to follow. He goes on to say a lot can happen in four years. He says that a side him just wants to turn the other cheek but he says "I'm Only Human!" and that he not going to turn the other cheek. He says he feels he can do it just 1 more time. Then Steven Richards comes down and says that he is Shawn's biggest fan but he was a different man know. He says that Shawn is washed up. Steven turns to the crowd for a moment and as soon as he turns back to Shawn, Sweet Chin Music is all he heard. Shawn then grabs the mic and says Welcome to Houston, Sexy Boy hits again and Shawn exits.
Match 5 Tag Team Table Match Bubba Ray & Spike Dudley vs. Chris Benoit & Eddie Guerrero Good reaction for both team. Benoit & Guerrero looked especially good in the ring. Eddie had Spike on a table in the middle of the ring and Eddie goes to the top rope and you tell he was feeling a little froggy but Bubba Ray superplexed Eddie and Benoit moved the table to save the match. Spike goes for the Dudley Dog on Benoit and Benoit threw him straight though the table that was set up outside the ring. After the match Bubba had to carry Spike out of the arena. Winners: Chris Benoit & Eddie Guerrero
Intermission
Match 6 Goldust vs. Christopher Nowinski Not that anyone cares about this match but Goldust got the win. Winner By Pinfall: Goldust
Match 7 Hardcore Title Match Bradshaw vs. Shawn Stasiak Good Hardcore action. Bradshaw showed off his new Texas Hardcore Belt. Raven and Justin Credible came down to ringside. They doubled teamed Bradshaw and Raven won the Hardcore title. Winner By Pinfall and new WWE Hardcore Champion: Raven Superkick by Justin to Raven and a three count. Winner By Pinfall and new WWE Hardcore Champion: Justin Credible Stasiak rolls up Credible and got a three count. Winner By Pinfall and new WWE Hardcore Champion: Shawn Stasiak Then a Closeline from Hell on Stasiak and Bradshaw gets the three count. Winner By Pinfall and new WWE Hardcore Champion: Bradshaw
Before Howard Finkel could open his mouth R-V-D chants start.
Match 8 Intercontinental Championship Rob Van Dam vs. William Regal William came out the highest heat of the night. He grabs the mic and taunts the Houston crowd. One of a Kind hits and the crowd erupts. This match was a lot like their Wrestlemania 18 meeting. These two go about 10 minutes before RVD hit the Five Star for the win. Winner By Pinfall and still WWE Intercontinental Champion: Rob Van Dam
Main Event The first time ever All-Houston Team The Undertaker & Booker T vs. Brock Lesnar & The Big Show This definitely the Main Event. Brock Lesnar was awesome. He kept telling the crowd to shut the F*ck up great heel work. Booker T & Undertaker were very over with their hometown crowd. Great match. Brock hit the F-5 and tells Show to cover him but Taker kicked out. Taker grabbed a chair and nailed the Big Show twice and then Booker T landed the scissors kick for then win. Winners By Pinfall: The Undertaker & Booker T
Booker was about to leave the ring but Taker wouldn't let him leave without a few spinaronies.
