Corner to Corner - Vacationing

It's always easier to look at something through impatient eyes when
you're at home. You work, you stress, and you basically spend your time
wondering what could possibly happen next to make the day go faster. When
you finally settle in and get the chance to relax, wrestling seems to be
that reward.
When you're on vacation, I guess that it seems easier to relax and just
enjoy what you're watching. Take Monday night for instance.
Monday's most recent edition of RAW was perhaps the most entertaining
to me because of its free flowing style. Something about watching it from
Nags Head helps me understand that entertainment aspect.
Finally, the European Title is gone. Thank you god, for putting the bug
in McMahon's ear and finally DOING AWAY with that useless piece of tin and
leather. Secondly, THANK YOU for not putting DX back together as a face
faction. The last thing we need to see is a faction with no real goal or
need to be in the mix. If you need proof, look at the nWo.
So, what else can I say for Monday? Brock Lesnar's stalking of The Rock
made for good buildup. Using him this way gives credibility to his monster
status.
With the recent brow beating that everyone has given HHH, one wonders
what he's going to accomplish on RAW, where the wrestling style he's used to
doesn't necessarily mix with the other talent. I, for one, hope that he puts
his money where his mouth is and helps them step up to the plate and raise
the ratings.
I mean hey, if you're going to motivate them, you better be able to
step up and prove your words to be legit, right?
With Eric Bischoff on Monday Nights, we all have another reason to
smile. Why? Quite frankly, the man knows how to make a show worth watch.
Forget the crap that happened backstage, because this is not HIS company.
Now, look at what he did with the broadcast booth. Yeah, I dare you to tell
me that it wasn't HIS idea to move the booth. Let's face it, Bischoff had
something good there because it made the broadcasters have to allow the
talent to shine. Gone are the interactions with the commentators from mid
ring, now we have the ring and thats it. We asked for it, now we got it.
RVD and Jeff Hardy both deserve our respect and our appreciation for
busting their asses the way they did. The match was exciting, fast paced,
and in my opinion, one of their better nights.
The beating is D-Lo and Stasiak was necessary and entertaining. The
Island Boys are now on Raw and this gives us hope that quite possibly the
boys at WWE are preparing to maybe push the tag division on RAW as well as
Smackdown. Make the two shows have to sets of straps, I guarantee it'll
work.
Stephanie McMahon, may actually be able to make her on air roll as GM
work, if she continues to pursue it as a professional woman and not a
domineering wench who's sole purpose is to screw Daddy.
Thats what I got this week. A whole bunch of random, and a whole bunch
of comments. All emails are welcome, as I will attempt to answer them as I
can.
From Nags Head, I'm Stan Grubb! Thanks again for reading!
