Hello and welcome to the latest edition of I Know What You Did Last Monday. First off I’d like to thank everyone for writing in for "Why you still watch the WWE" as I’ve gotten a great response from it! Unfortunately I’ve still got to read a few more and respond in the column so they’ll be all up and answered in next weeks column! Once again, thanks for writing in if you did. Slicing and Dicing VengeanceI missed this PPV, as I was at a party meeting my girlfriends family! Now that wasn’t as bad as it seems as they were all very open and happy to meet me, and I’m fairly easy to talk too. The best part of the night was when they all talked about her other boyfriends that she brought to meet them before…god I wish I could relive that part! **rolls eyes** Naw, but seriously, it could have been worse! But I did check out the results of the PPV when I got back, and I must say the show looked alright. While a lot of it was rushed to an extent. I don’t get why the WWE can’t just ADD matches a couple of weeks before, instead of booking them AT the show…it just adds confusion as to why they’re taking place. Either way, it was a pretty good show as now Team Canada are the tag champs which is great because Storm deserves some TV time and this angle is working great. It looks like the main event was very solid! And Rock will now hopefully help out both shows. The RVD/Brock match ended as I predicted in a DQ, which is lame but is the only way they could do it as Brock as the IC champ would ruin what they’re doing with RVD…ala an actual champ that can HOLD a title a while. The tables match I thought made no sense, as Spike/Bubba can take a loss, but Benoit/Eddie need that one in order to be a threat. The Jericho match was odd, as that’s the third loss in a row for Jericho to Cena, though the first ‘clean’ win. It’s good that he’s willing to put him over, but it should have been a while ago as this isn’t doing anything for either Jericho OR Cena. Either way, solid PPV. But I’m not worried that I missed it. RAW however so far…has been great!! Taking a stab at LIVE RAW…as well as other things happening in the WWEWell I came in while Bischoff was talking and the crowd is HOT! That’s the FIRST thing the WWE needs again, to keep the crowd into the whole show! This was a great start as Eric knows how to work the mic, and he’s fresh which both Stephanie AND Vince aren’t anymore. Either way, we got Triple H and Shawn to start the show. Solid start and it leads up to some angles! The crowd was totally into it! Anyway, Shawn leaves and we go backstage and see Triple H trying to talk Shawn into staying…funny, I thought Triple H and Shawn were gonna start kissing there! Triple H- "Hey! Shawn, listen…just stay! I don’t want you to be my lackie..I’ve got an idea! Just stay" Shawn- "Shut up…just shut up! You had me at Hey…*sniff*…you had me at hey!" Ah well, maybe it was just me! Then we had a ladder match that was VERY sweet! This was a better match then their PPV match a while back with all the botched spots. This one had a few, but it’s gotta be hard enough to be doing this match period! Some solid shots happening in it. Though I wonder why they took AWAY a belt? Though the European title meant nothing really, it was a title that the smaller guys could work with…maybe they’re trying to give titles more prestige by cutting down their numbers? Now we’re having Trish/Bubba VS Regal/Molly…okay, we went back in time. Though the crowd is still hot, this match isn’t anything. We’ve seen it WAY to much and it means nothing as these characters are ALL just wondering aimlessly around with no feuds. Hey, I’m positive 99% of the time, but that 1% comes around when it needs to. The match is solid, it just has no REAL point to anything…but hey, we’ll see where it goes. The thing is, this match could have taken place and people would have cheered Bubba just as much, but since Benoit/Eddie lost yesterday, they have nothing to brag about tonight…what threat are they? Oh, and while there are breaks I’ll talk about what’s happening on Smackdown and whatnot. Either way, before I forget wasn’t this whole split happening to make feuds draw out? That Hurricane/Noble feud was VERY cool for the month it went on, but then he loses and that’s that? Come on!! Why the hell did Kidman get involved again? He had no point and the fans didn’t care about him. That feud should have gone on! Nuts to that crap Kidman feud. Looks like Hurricane is going back to being a jobber again? Come on, it’d have been better with a solid rematch at this last PPV between the two! Haha, that’s great! I love the posters of Bischoff that are around the building! That’s too funny! Well I guess we’ll see if Benoit gets a shot at RVD next week…still, wouldn’t it have made Booker more worried if Benoit won the match? I think so, but hey…I’m just me! Also, as far as Steph is concerned…I’m not a fan. I mean she’s hot and all, but I mean she’s not fresh! She’s not that SMACK that the show needed. I went to wwe.com before the show, where I already knew she was becoming the GM, and saw pictures of Shawn Michaels, and Mick Foley even! I mean Foley would have been a GREAT face GM!! THAT may have brought in ratings, but Steph is just more of the same old…and a FACE Steph?! Yikes, that’s worse then Triple H being a face! And here comes The Rock! Man, is he signing a lot of movie deals now! I mean do it while your hot (remember Van Damme? He did like 5 in a year!) but still, when will he find the time?! Well there’s that rare smile that The Rock NEVER had before he left for the movies…I actually like it, and what’s not to smile about, first ever 7-time champ! Let’s see if we have a little Brock Lesnar confrontation! (That’s me trying to sound smart when it’s a bit obvious it’ll happen) Ah crap! Eddie G?! Okay…maybe I was off…again though, it’d mean more if he won last night. Well, this makes up for the Austin feud that Eddie missed out on I guess! Little rub from the Rock never hurts, and Rock’ll be honoured to help put someone over. Okay…Eddie, calm down…calm down…hahaha, "you sick psychopathic freak!" hahaha, went and had sex with a retarded hyena…oh man, this probably isn’t as funny when I write it in chunks as watching it live eh? Ah well, very solid promo! Good to have The Rock back!! He’ll be missed again when he leaves. OH I WAS RIGHT! There’s Brock….but he passed him…ooo, that was harsh. You know what Rock VS Brock reminds me of? Rocky VS Drago in Rocky 4! Though I WISH Rocky would be around for a couple of months to feud with this guy! Losing at Summerslam, then coming back to beat him in September! Ah…damn movies! Ah well, what can you do. Back to other things…one thing I’ve noticed is how many people are saying that young talent aren’t being elevated. And how bigger stars are beating them all the time. Well it seems that way, what should happen? Should the bigger stars that are NEEDED to draw ratings right now lose every time? I mean some guys are getting over here and there, and YES guys like Taker and Austin when he was around and Triple H need to help put guys over. But I mean, they have to pay their dues on TV…remember Rocky Miavia…we call that dues! Who knows where guys will be in the future, but what I do know is that fans don’t care!! Shawn CHEWED OUT THE FANS like a month ago! Tonight, he didn’t leave because of the fans? WTF? Does that make sense? No. But still, we cheered! Yay!! Because we just care about the now. In a couple of years when guys like Cena and Orton are on the top level, then we’ll cheer them and it won’t matter that they lost to Taker years ago…just let it go. Hey, not a bad Lesnar match, and Taker showing up again. We’ll see how things play out as RAW is already hotter then it has been in a while! And the fans are HOT! Always helps, did I mention that? Plus I saw on wwe.com also that tickets were STILL available for this show…not a bad show, and a loud crowd for one that still had tickets on sale. With Jericho and Edge I’m kinda wondering why they’d hotshot it to Smackdown when it could have been a great PPV match, but I’d say this is the first in a few! They’ll fight at Summerslam and they’ll have a great feud by then…I can just feel it, and I have a feeling they’ll play great off each other! Oh, and to stay on the whole Benoit/Eddie losing at the PPV thing, how is it that Bubba who was in a pointless tag match tonight, and Spike who wasn’t even ON RAW tonight beat a guy who got a shot at the Rock in the main event, and a guy who will be fighting for the IC title next week!? WTF? I’ll never get that. Hey, this’ll be an entertaining match. D’Lo and Stasiak to go at it and entertain Bischoff for a shot at the RAW roster spot. Haha, "What is that!? You got 2 minutes, what are you doing!?" to Shawn’s wrestling move! Lol Great stuff…hey, it’s the Island boys I believe! Wow, pretty good agility for being so big…*ahem* Rikishi you slow boring jobroni! Though I can say this, while the ratings WON’T move drastically for a while as they DO need to win back fans and or intrigue fans enough to watch the WHOLE show, this is an improvement and this GM idea has SAVED the split from the looks of it! Well I had to go pick up a few things and I ended up missing everything after the Booker T match up until DX’s return! Booker T/Benoit had a great match up! But I missed the first reaction to DX coming back…Bah! I never have good timing. Ah well, some may complain we’ve gone back in time…but hey, these two were FUNNY when it was just them…so let’s give it a chance! HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!! PEDIGREE ON HBK!!!!! I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING!!! Fuckin eh! Now THAT is what the WWE needs right now! Triple H is gone…and I’m guessing here comes Steph! Hey, she’s looking rather hot today! I wonder if she’s going to snag someone from RAW this fast to make up for Triple H? So far the main event has been great! Eddie G is getting the rub he would have gotten from Austin, if not MORE, from The Rock!! The crowd is SO DAMN HOT and that is helping make this show as great as it is! RAW is looking to have a GREAT new era on the go…let’s see where everything goes! Rock just won, but they both had a great match! Eddie got props there. Let’s see how this eye to eye looks…Brock is really new to have such a push, but it looks like it’ll work out just fine. This is going to get crazy! This’ll be a hot PPV because people will want to see if Rock’ll win or if Brock will continue to pound through guys! And we end with Steph VS Eric…Oh! Well it looks like Brock will have some new competition…though Ninja Eric was a bit much! Ah well! Well, RAW was a VERY solid show, thanks to some great new angles and a great feel especially because of the crowd!! Let’s see if the momentum can continue into Smackdown…as long as Steph keeps her speeches short…*sigh* Backstage politics entering the angles?One thing I’ve noticed is that it seems that angles are reflecting a lot of REAL LIFE backstage politics that have taken place over the years! Hogan has mentioned things, Bischoff, Vince and both HBK and Triple H! It seems more and more that instead of trying to hide from things that the Internet knows about, they’re playing off them to add some spice to their product! I must say, it has grabbed my attention as it’s always cool to see things play out this way. RAW tonight was great, and it had all the whole clique talk between Michaels and Triple H. Confidential (which I missed!) had all the old talk from Eric Bischoff and his wanting to bring down the WWF when it was that while WCW was still going! And this week we’ll see the fall out of WCW! If they stay true to those type of shows, things could get interesting! Though it is odd with them talking about things that most people only know backstage or if they surf the net. Triple H speaks about the Curtain call incident in his new home video "The Game" and it seems like he’s acting real about it, though his comments as of late are proving to get him in some hot water!! Enough talk about that…how about some light hearted fun to see what Triple H is talking about, shall we?
