Hello and welcome to this week's WWE Wrestling Challenge report, the last for the month of June. On today's show i'm sure we'll get much promotion for the upcoming Wrestlemania IV event, which will feature a single elimination to determine an undisputed heavyweight champion. With that in mind, let's get this week's cracking show underway.

Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan are once again this weeks hosts, coming from the Kansas Expocentre, in Topeka. A "weasel" chant begins, much to the displeasure of Heenan, and so we cut to the video introduction. On today's show we will see Randy Savage, Ted DiBiase, Ultimate Warrior, Honky Tonk Man, Strike Force, and a special report on Wrestlemania IV.

    Match #1
The Ultimate Warrior vs. Dusty Wolfe
The bell sounds and Wolfe attacks Warrior from behind, going for a rake to the eyes. Wolfe then attempts to whip Warrior to the turnbuckle, but has no luck, as the Warrior simply holds onto the ropes. The Warrior then sends Wolfe into the turnbuckle, and delivers several chops to the chest. He then sends Wolfe into the opposite turnbuckle, before beating his chest for the fans to admire. Wolfe then attempts to shoulder charge Warrior down, but obviously he is just not strong enough. Wolfe then runs to the ropes, but Warrior leapfrogs him, and then an oncoming clothesline from Wolfe has no effect whatsoever, as Warrior proceeds to clothesline Wolfe instead. As Wolfe gets to his feet, the Warrior delivers another clothesline, this time sending Wolfe out of the ring, via the bottom rope. Pre-recorded comments from Hercules are shown, and he will meet the Warrior in a special challenge match at the upcoming Wrestlemania event. He says that every move the Warrior makes is being studied by him, and he will destroy him. Meanwhile, the Warrior has gone to the outside and delivers a boot to the head of Wolfe, before chopping him down to the mats. The Warrior rolls him back into the ring, and then delivers a bodyslam to Wolfe. The Warrior then signals for the skies, and delivers a gorilla press slam, followed by a big splash to the kidneys for the pinfall finish. After the bell, the Warrior celebrates in style - by shaking the ropes.
Winner - The Ultimate Warrior via pinfall, at 02:11

The Wrestlemania IV report is up next, and we go to comments from the British Bulldogs, who say that Matilda is looking great and can't wait to get to the event, as she wants a match to sink her teeth into. Craig DeGeorge is in the studio and welcomes everyone to the report, and reminds us that the Bulldogs will team up with Koko B. Ware to take on the combination of the Islanders and Bobby Heenan in a six-man tag team match at Wrestlemania. Apparently Matilda has been going through some very special training in order to be ready for Wrestlemania, after having been injured at the hands of the Islanders several months ago. Pre-recorded comments from the Islanders and Heenan are shown, and Bobby says that he's slightly worried about the impact that the dog may have, as everybody is saying that it is bigger and stronger. Heenan wants to know what is going on, and demands to know whether their opponents want to wrestle or fight with animals. This will be Heenan's first match for over a year, but the momentum is on the side of the Bulldogs says DeGeorge - no reason is given as to why.

Vanna White is standing by looking as glamorous as ever, and says that the clock is ticking to the countdown for Wrestlemania IV - and she will in fact be the special guest timekeeper.

    Match #2
Strike Force vs. Barry Horowitz & Dave Wagner
The Strike Force are currently the reigning WWF tag team champions at this point, but the titles will not be on the line in this match. They will have to defend the belts sooner rather than later though, as they take on Demolition at Wrestlemania in what promises to be an enthralling encounter. The bell sounds and Rick Martel locks up with Horowitz, and it's the latter who delivers a kick and right hand to take the advantage. Horowitz then whips Martel to the ropes and attempts a clothesline, but Martel holds on and instead side-steps Horowitz with a picture-perfect cartwheel. Horowitz once again goes for a clothesline, but this time Martel ducks underneath the oncoming arm, and turns around to deliver a devastating dropkick. Martel then winds up the right arm of Horowitz, and makes the tag to his partner, Tito Santana. They both send Horowitz to the ropes before Martel leaves, and then deliver double blows to the lower abdomen on Horowitz. Santana delivers a right hand, and then works on the arm of Horowitz a little more, before tagging Martel back into the ring. At this time Monsoon announces that the new issue of the WWF magazine is now on sale, and has a special article on Demolition's quest for the tag team titles. Martel delivers an elbow to the head of Horowitz, and then goes back to work on the right arm of Horowitz. Barry gets a forearm in though and applies a headlock to Martel, but the co-holder of the tag titles sneakily made a tag to Santana behind his back, and he enters just as Martel executes an atomic drop, allowing Santana to apply a flying forearm - but this only scores the referee's two count. Santana goes back to the arm and tags in Martel, who takes the same role. Horowitz backs his opponent into the wrong corner however, and is able to make the tag to Dave Wagner for the first time in this match. He enters and both jobbers send Martel to the ropes, and deliver a double-elbow which sends Martel back down to the canvas. Wagner runs the ropes and drops an elbow, but it is easily telegraphed by Martel, who ducks out of the way and makes the tag to Santana. He goes at Wagner with several right hands, before whipping him to the ropes and delivering a back bodydrop. Moments later Martel is tagged back in, and applies the boston crab to Wagner for the easy submission triumph.
Winners - Strike Force via pinfall, at 02:15

Craig DeGeorge is standing by with discussion on the tournament at Wrestlemania, and brings in Don Muraco, who takes on Dino Bravo in the first round. Muraco says that all fourteen participants are very gifted athletes, and says that none of the elite wrestlers involved are losers. Muraco says that he knows that Bravo is not a loser, but doesn't plan on being an easy opponent. Pre-recorded comments from Dino Bravo are then shown, and his manager Frenchie Martin speaks in French, before Bravo says that the event is the tournament of a lifetime for all wrestlers involved. He says that he is going to make his dreams come true at Wrestlemania and win the title, because if he can defeat Muraco then he can defeat anybody!

We go to a segment backstage with Bob Eucker and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan, discussing the upcoming Wrestlemania, obviously. Eucker says that the event is just around the corner, and is looking forward to meeting Vanna White. Heenan then says that he knew she would be appearing, and says that he went out for dinner with her just the other night.

    Match #3
Ted DiBiase (w/ Virgil) vs. Omar Atlas
Before the match gets underway Atlas attempts to steal some cash off Virgil, but DiBiase goes to work on him before he has even undressed. DiBiase stomps on Atlas with some authority for several seconds, before sending him back down with an elbow. DiBiase then stomps on the head of Atlas, before whipping him to the ropes and delivering a clothesline. Incidentally, DiBiase will also be involved in the single elimination tournament at Wrestlemania, and will take on Hacksaw Jim Duggan in the opening round. Back at ringside, DiBiase tosses Atlas to the outside through the middle rope, and then follows him on out. DiBiase rams Atlas' head into the ring and then bodyslams him on the mats, before going back into the ring to break the count. He goes back out and tosses Atlas back into the ring, and then nails him with an elbow from the second round. DiBiase then sends Atlas to the ropes, delivers a huge powerslam, and scores the three count.
Winner - Ted DiBiase via pinfall, at 01:45

    Match #4
Hacksaw Jim Duggan vs. Pete Sanchez
The bell sounds and they lock up, and Duggan backs Sanchez into the ropes, before making a clean break. They lock up again and Duggan delivers an elbow to the head of Sanchez, before sending him into the turnbuckle. He then whips him to the opposite corner, and catches him with a clothesline as he is coming out. Duggan then delivers a kneedrop to the sternum area of Sanchez, and then applies a chinlock for several seconds. He gets back to his feet and delivers another elbow, before unloading with ten right hands on the middle rope to the head of Sanchez. Duggan then sends Sanchez to the outside via the middle rope, and goes out after him. Duggan rams the head of Sanchez onto the canvas, and then sends him back in the ring. Duggan whips Sanchez to the ropes, and then delivers a bodyslam. He sets up the three point clothesline and executes it, scoring the three count. The fans were well behind Duggan for this one, and he got huge pops throughout, quite surprisingly.
Winner - Hacksaw Jim Duggan via pinfall, at 02:51

Craig DeGeorge is standing by with Demolition, and their manager, Mr. Fuji. They will get a tag team title shot against Strike Force, and Fuji says that hard work pays off, and it will pay off to Strike Force when Demolition beat them. Smash says that they train hard to work for the tag team titles, and they will win and demolish every team in the WWF. He claims they forced the WWF into getting the title shot, and will not let it pass. Axe says that when Strike Force were little boys and scared of monsters in the night, they should be just as scared of Demolition, as they have been trained just like monsters, and they can't hide anymore.

    Match #5
The Hart Foundation (w/ Jimmy Hart) vs. Sonny Rogers & Jim Stewart
Jim Neidhart locks up with Rogers and immediately clotheslines him out over the top rope, albeit on the second attempt. Bret Hart then delivers an elbow to him from the apron, and rams him face first into the railings, before rolling him back in. Neidhart delivers a bodyslam, followed by a shoulder tackle. Neidhart then rams Rogers into the mat, and sends him head first into the boot of Bret Hart. Neidhart then tosses Rogers into his corner so that he is able to make the tag to Stewart, but as soon as he enters, he gets tosses around just as easily. Bret tags in and kicks Stewart in the midsection before delivering many right hands to his head. He then delivers a backbreaker, and whips Stewart to the ropes, and delivers a kick to the midsection to send him down. Bret then kicks Stewart in the lower abdomen, and tags in Neidhart. The Anvil then delivers a dropkick, and chooses to only accept a two count. Neidhart then rakes the eyes of Stewart and sets him up in a backbreaker, and Bret enters and delivers the elbow from the second rope. He again only chooses to accept a two count, and so Bret delivers a piledriver, followed by several knees to the chest. Bret then hangs Stewart upside down in the corner, and Neidhart tags in and kicks him in the head for a while. Neidhart then tosses him out through the middle rope, and Bret moves over and delivers several fists, before sending him back in. Bret then makes the tag, and as Neidhart hoists Stewart up, he runs the ropes and delivers the clothesline for the long-overdue pinfall victory. Even after the bell sounds, they toss their opponents out of the ring.
Winners - The Hart Foundation via pinfall, at 04:13

Craig DeGeorge is standing by for this week's live arena interview, and has Randy Savage as his guest. He is one of the fourteen contenders for the WWF title at Wrestlemania IV, and would have to win a total of four matches in one night in order to take home the gold. Savage's first round opponent is Butch Reed, and he describes the tournament as being an unbelievably huge task. Savage then says he has much respect for Reed as an athlete, and you have to be an iron man to win four matches in one night. But nobody has more inspiration than Randy Savage, and he can't lose, as Elizabeth's smile is his inspiration. She then joins Savage on the interview podium, to a very warm reception.

Craig DeGeorge is standing by for another Wrestlemania IV, and says that the host of the event is Donald Trump. We go to comments from him, and he says that millions of fans will be watching, and many fans will be wanting to see this huge event. DeGeorge then says that the guest timekeeper is the host of "Wheel of Fortune", Vanna White, and the special guest ring announcer is Bob Eucker. Apparently Robin Leech will also be on hand to present the heavyweight title to the new champion, and seems overjoyed at the prospect. There is also a 20-man battle royal taking place, featuring Ken Patera, Ron Bass, Fabulous Rougeaus, Hart Foundation, Danny Davis, JYD, Sika, Sam Houston, Bolsheviks, Killer Bees, Harley Race, Young Stallions, Hillbilly Jim, Bad News Brown, and George Steele.

    Match #6
The Honky Tonk Man (w/ Jimmy Hart) vs. Lance Allen
The Honky Tonk Man is the current Intercontinental Champion, but will have to defend his gold against none other than Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake at the upcoming Wrestlemania IV, to take place on March 27. The bell sounds and they lock up, as Honky winds up the left arm of Allen with ease. Allen manages to reverse it though, but Honky breaks the hold with a rake to the eyes. Honky then unloads with several lefts and rights, before ramming Allen's head into the turnbuckle. We go to pre-recorded comments from Honky, who says that when Wrestlemania IV is all said and done, he'll still be the greatest Intercontinental champion of all time. Back in the ring Honky delivers a snapmere takedown, before delivering a knee to the head of Allen. Honky whips his opponent to the rope and takes him down with an elbow, before delivering an axehandle to the chest. He sends him out of the ring and delivers another axehandle from the ring apron to the outside, before throwing him back in. Honky then delivers a knee to the head of Allen, and whips him to the ropes and delivers a clothesline. Honky then delivers the swinging neckbreaker, also known as the "Shake, Rattle 'n' Roll" for the finish. After the bell he grabs the microphone and thanks the fans, saying that they are a beautiful audience.
Winner - The Honky Tonk Man via pinfall, at 02:46

Craig DeGeorge is backstage with Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake. He says that it will be a super, sensational Sunday, as this is the day, no year, he has been waiting for. It is the opportunity of a lifetime, and the people have been disgusted at the controversy surrounding this belt. He wants to prove that he is a serious competitor, and wants to complete his trophy case by taking the Intercontinental title away from the hands of the current champion, who we just saw in action.

That's all we have time for here this week, but on next week's show we will have the Outlaw Ron Bass, The British Bulldogs, Greg Valentine, as well as a live interview with Hulk Hogan, and the obligatory special report on Wrestlemania IV. That means i'm done too, so thanks for reading and I hope to see you all back here next week. In the meantime you can e-mail me via the link at the top of this page, or send me an instant message. Take care!
