WWA cancels tour, More notes from WWE conf. call, and more

- The WWA have cancelled their scheduled tour of Europe for next month, citing poor advance ticket sales. The promotion had dates scheduled in Ireland, Germany and Switzerland but Ireland was said to have a very good advance. No word on any possible rescheduling of the tour.
- Below are some of the more notable news items from Linda McMahon's conference call earlier today:
- WWE expected business to go down a bit after the brand extension but is confident that they will recover with added pay-per-views and international shows.
- In regards to the Steve Austin situation, McMahon stated the following: "Stone Cold had a short term impact, not a long term impact."
- Steve Austin is considered to be on a suspension from WWE for his conduct.
- WWE will be receiving a producers fee and profit sharing from The Rock's new film Heldorado.
- WWE received $2 million as an executive producer of The Scorpion King and will also receive a share of the film's profits.
- WWE will be running a live show in Mexico City in September.
- Linda stated that she wasn't pleased with the staff restructuring that took place in November but it is something that is being worked on.

- Reportedly, several big names such as Scott Steiner, Rick Steiner, Lex Luger, Stevie Ray and Ernest "The Cat" Miller were scheduled to appear on next month's WWA tour.
