Ross Report Recap: Austin, Russo, Injury updates, more

  • Jim Ross has not spoken with Steve Austin since his departure from WWE but plans to within the next few days if all goes well.

  • Jim Ross had the following to say regarding the return of Vince Russo to WWE:

    It is no secret that I personally lost a great deal of respect for Russo because of the way he left our company and for his lame creation of the "Oklahoma" character in the old WCW, but that was then and this is now.

  • Triple H was booked for WWE house shows in Providence and New York City on the same night and actually was planning on making both shows by travelling by helicopter. However, those plans changed due to Triple H's elbow problem.

  • This Sunday's King of the Ring is "almost sold out".

  • Jim Ross will be a part of the Tough Enough 3 casting scheduled for July 10-12 in Los Angeles.

  • WWE is interested in beginning negotiations with Goldberg but those associated with Goldberg have no provided an opportunity to speak.

  • Another WWE cookbook will be released in May 2003.

  • Edge will test his shoulder over the next few weeks by working minimally at house shows.

  • Goldust is suffering from degenerative disc disease and has been given excercises to strenghthen his back. He will visit doctors in six weeks but will continue to work through any pain.

  • Raven has been suffering from foot pain but X-Rays that were done to determine whether he has a stress fracture came back negative.

  • Billy Gunn is working through a pulled groin, hence the heaby taping he had on his leg on Smackdown.

  • Referee Tim White underwent shoulder surgery on Wednesday and will probably only get about 75-80% movement in his shoulder when it heals. He will be out for three to four months.

  • Tazz will have a lump removed form his side on Thursday and will need to be out of physical activity for six to seven weeks.

  • Eric Angle visited his doctor last week and was asked to visit the doctor again on July 24 where it is expected he will be given a release.
