AJ Styles was on "Between The Ropes" show yesterday. He said that he declined WWE's contract offer to him because it didn’t fit the plan he and his wife had set for their family. Her wife is pursuing a degree, and the $500 a week that WWE offered him wasn’t enough to make ends meet. Credit: 1wrestling.com The Calgary Sun: WWE to remember Davey Boy Smith The World Wrestling Entertainment will be honouring the memory of Davey Boy Smith next week. "We did a video tribute to Davey on last Monday's 'Raw is War', " said Gary Davis of the WWE, formerly the World Wrestling Federation. "At (Tuesday night's) 'Smackdown' in Calgary at the Saddledome we'll be having a moment's silence in his memory." Smith, 39, died early Saturday morning while vacationing in Invermere, B.C., with his girlfriend, Andrea Hart, the wife of Bruce Hart who is Smith's ex-brother-in-law. Smith, who shot to fame wrestling as the British Bulldog, most likely died from heart failure as a result of steroid use, the B.C. coroner told the Sun yesterday. During the video tribute to Smith on Raw is War -- a show that's televised and watched by millions around the world -- the WWE showcased the best that was the wrestler, Davis said. "It was a short video of his career and what he's achieved," he said. "It ended with that famous shot of Davey in Wembley Stadium in London, England, where at the end of the match he won over Bret Hart (in front of more than 80,000 fans and millions who watched via pay-per-view) and stood there wrapped in the Union Jack." Davey's dad, Sid Smith, said he wants his son's body flown back to England where he can be buried near where he grew up, near Manchester. Funeral arrangements have not been made in Canada or anywhere else so far. ULTIMOWRESTLING.COM *NEW GALLERY* Go Directly to a RANDOM COOL & RARE WWE & TNA VIDEO! Check It Out!
