    CORNER TO CORNER - The Beginning of change?

    Change...People are naturally resistant to change. Change is what this world survives on. The dinosaurs changed. The primates changed. We are constantly changing. Professional wrestling is no different. Change, my friends, is good.

    Greeting and salutations!! Welcome back again to Corner to Corner! What a busy few days it has been for yours truly!

    So lets get to it, shall we?

    As you all know I have been campaigning for the WWE to make some major changes that could help them to improve their product. I have been doing this way before Wrestlemania 18, but more so as of late. The Raw brand has been getting worse and worse. The Smackdown brand is beginning to show signs of wear and tear. Now we’re seeing the crumbling of the big giant known as WWE and it’s not right! Ladies and gentlemen, we cannot just let this happen!

    So I took the bull by the horns and I decided to email the WWE and tell them what I thought. Thanks again Floyd for emailing me and giving me the motivation I needed to do so. I emailed them from their corporate site and I got an automated response. At first guys and gals, I was irate that all they would do was send me an informal email about thanking me for my interest in the WWE. Then, the following day, I got an actual response from an actual employee of the company who wanted to give me an opening to explain my displeasure with the WWE product.

    The WWE at least took a good first step towards change by giving me the opportunity to discuss my ideas with them. I called the guy who emailed me and gave him my number and times I could be reached. I told him I looked forward to telling him all about my ideas. So today at work, I was helping a few customers with their questions as my phone rang.

    “Hi, this is __________ with Fan Services at World Wrestling Entertainment, could I speak to Dan please?”

    You can all imagine how weird that felt. I mean, as cool as it would be for them to call you at home or work, only to mess up your name? Oh you can imagine I was a little miffed. I said though;

    “There’s no Dan, but this is STAN, I think you’re trying to get in touch with me.”

    After that, it was cool. He was quick to say he didn’t mean to mix my name up, and he asked if I had some time to discuss my thoughts on the WWE’s programming.

    So here’s what I told him.

    I told him a lot guys. I told him that storylines are suffering. I told him, these things are being rushed and there's no true direction. I asked him if these writers were rushing for a reason or if it was because they were confused on their own as well.

    I told him: Characters don’t make any sense nowadays. I told him that these stables like the nWo are jokes. I asked him why was it that we were forced, in a sense, to watch dialogue segments at 25 minutes at a time in length.

    I asked him why is it that they spent so much time pushing the buy of WCW and then dropped it off the face of the earth. I told them, the split is in need of corrections. The belts don't have their meanings anymore. The hardcore title is a joke. It started humble enough and now it’s just silly.

    I told them fans are getting bored with seeing rushed ideas, crappy stories, bad booking, and over done ideas. I told him its time to make some changes and they need to start soon because the longer the wait, the worse it will more than likely get.

    The man told me that he agreed with a lot of what I had said and told me he would see to it that these thoughts would get forwarded to the right people. He asked that I continue to give him feedback and keep his number.

    Guys and gals, I think this is a good thing. We’ve reached a point now that we can continue to push forward and get them to make the changes we want to see. It is now time to start making these ideas known to them and push them as much as we can. Changes comes when all are open to it. Its time we opened their eyes.

    Thanks for reading, I will keep you posted!
