The following news and notes comes from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, which you can obtain information on by Clicking Here.

The latest on Bill Goldberg is that he's went from NOT considering the WWE deal roughly 2 weeks ago to now considering it. (Meltzer, 2002)

More on Goldberg... Doc McGhee, one of the promoters for the WWA, actually had a meeting with Goldberg's agent, Barry Bloom for the possibility of Goldberg in the WWA. The meeting went no where, however. (Meltzer, 2002)

It's said that the WWE will be paying Kurt Angle his downside guarantee IF he takes a year and a half off to train for the 2004 Olympics. (Meltzer, 2002)

Top yet green wrestler Nathan Jones from the WWA is attempting to clear up some legal problems from his native Australia in hopes of obtaining a United States visa. If he comes to the United States, it's very much assumed that he'll get a developmental deal from the WWE and probably be sent to Ohio Valley Wrestling for training. (Meltzer, 2002)

The WWE was confiscating many anti-Hulk Hogan signs from the Toronto crowd for RAW last Monday. Well over 100 signs were taken, mostly ones ripping on Hogan's in ring ability or his age. (Meltzer, 2002)

The latest on former WWF superstar "Superstar" Billy Graham is that the potential donor, former NFL linebacker Ron Pritchard, has some health problems himself, thereby disqualifying him as a donor. A mass (like a tumor or a cyst) was discovered on Pritchard's kidney, liver spots were discovered too, and Ron was having problems breathing at one point during his tests to see if he could be a donor. Despite not being a donor, trying to be a good samaritan probably saved Pritchard from some horrible health problems himself. (Meltzer, 2002)

To follow up another report on Graham, he was getting checked last week for the possibility of throat cancer, which comes in addition to his need for a new liver. (Meltzer, 2002)

The New York Times actually did an obituary for Lou Thesz. The NY Times has only gone out of their way to tribute passed away wrestlers a few times. (Meltzer, 2002)
