Raw opens with a special video tribute to The British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith read by Vince McMahon.

Rob Van Dam comes out for the first match. Before RVD can make it to the ring Undertaker runs up from behind and attacks him. Undertaker sends RVD into the ring post and ring steps. Undertaker hits RVD with the ring steps. RVD's head is busted open.

Undertaker gets on the mic. I don't know what is wrong with RVD or who he thinks he is. But let me tell you who I am. I am the new WWE Champion. As that Champion I have the right to come down that ramp first and start Monday Night Raw. Now that I am champion there will be some changes around here. When I have something to say I will come down here and say it. If there is somebody in this ring they have two choices - move aside or stay and get their ass kicked. It don't matter to me. RVD, he just got reaquainted by the number one rule of this company, and that is you will respect the Undertaker. Now you need to listen to this. If anyone has a different opinion they need to ask Hulk Hogan what it's like to disrespect the Undertaker. Because I did exactly what I said I would do. This is the story. I said I would beat Hogan and take his title and I did it. I beat the man up and I took his pride. But most of all what I did last night was kill Hulkamania. It is over. Hulkamania, rest in peace. You can yell all you want. he will not come. I have it on good authority, on Thursday night on Smackdown, Hogan will announce his retirement. Hogan, I will expect a thank you for allowing you to walk out of the ring last night and make that announcement. I'm getting tired of saying it and i'm sure you are getting tired of hearing it. You will respect the Undertaker. I don't care if you are a legend like Hogan or some punk like RVD. You cross my path and do not change ditrections, you will pay the consequences.

RVD crawls back in the ring. Undertaker misses a punch. RVD hits Undertaker with a heel kick followed by punches to the face. Referees pull RVD off the Undertaker and out of the ring. RVD comes back to the ring and hits Undertaker with a springboard kick to the face followed by the 5 star frog splash. Referees pulls RVD off Undertaker. Undertaker walks to the back with RVD in the ring pointing at him.

Backstage, Undertaker requests to Ric Flair to have a match with RVD tonight. Flair agrees and says it is for the WWE Championship. Undertaker leaves a little mad, because he was hoping it would be a non title match. Flair tells Arn Anderson he will throw Steve Austin a curve ball tonight.

Hardy Boys vs X-Pac and Big Show w/ Booker T
Jeff with a headscissors takeover on Xpac. Double team on Xpac for a two count. Matt with a clothesline on Xpac. Booker tries to trip up Matt. Show clotheslines Matt. Show powerslams Matt. Show with hard irish whips on Matt. Show chops Matt in the corner. Show tosses Matt across the ring. Xpac kicks Matt down in the corner followed by the bronco buster. Matt powerbombs Xpac. Jeff dropkicks Xpac. Xpac misses a dropkick. Poetry in motion on Xpac. Show with a double clothesline. Show gets his leg hung up on the top rope. Booker hits Show by accident. X-factor on Jeff. Goldust, dressed up as an Elvis impersonator, enters the ring. Jeff rolls up the distracted Xpac for the pin.
Winners: Hardy Boys

Backstage, Paul Heyman tells Trish Stratus he can not get the image out of his mind of her in bra and panties from Smackdown. Heyman asks Trish out on a date. Instead of saying no, Trish says she has a match and leaves.

Backstage, Xpac tells Booker that his friend Goldust caused them to lose. Booker says Goldust is not his friend. Big Show says from now on he is the leader. Xpac objects and says he is the leader. Goldust says if they would allow him ro join the nWo he could be the leader. They all say no. Booker says he and Goldust will beat the Hardys tonight.

WWE Women's Championship
Trish Stratus vs Jacqueline
Jackie with a shoulder block. Trish with punches. Jackie with a leg sweep takedown for a two count. Trish chops Jackie in the corner. Suplex by Trish for a two count. Clothesline by Trish for a two count. Jackie misses a corner splash. Trish with the stratusfaction bulldog for the pin.
Winner: Trish Stratus

After the match Heyman and Brock Lesnar come to the ring. Heyman says Trish didn't give him an answer and Brock doesn't like it when people don't give him an answer. Heyman gives Trish two choices - the easy way by saying yes ot the rough way by saying no. Trish says no. Brock enters the ring and coners Trish. Bubba Dudley enters the ring and stares at Brock. Heyman holds Brock back. Heyman and Brock leave the ring and walk to the back.

A vignette of Tommy Dreamer is shown of him sticking more weird things in his mouth. Dreamer is at the barber shop and is eating his own hair. Dreamer puts some hair gel in his mouth. As Dreamer is leaving the barber shop he picks up some hair off the floor that the barber was sweeping up and eats it.

Backstage, RVD tells the doctor there is nothing that can stop him from going out there and kicking Undertaker's ass. RVD asks the doctor to clean him up.

WWE European Championship
William Regal w/ Molly Holly vs Bubba Dudley
Backdrop by Bubba. Bubba with a slam followed by an elbow drop. Molly tries to trip Bubba. Regal with a knee to the head. Bubba with shades of the bionic elbow. Sidewalk slam by Bubba for a two count. Bubba goes after the table. Brock Lesnar runs down and attacks Bubba from behind. Brock drags Bubba in the ring and delivers the TKO to him. Referee calls for the bell. Molly reaches in her underwear and hands the brass knucks to Regal. Regal hits Bubba in the back of the head.
Winner by DQ: Bubba Dudley

Ric Flair and Arn Anderson come to the ring. Flair gets on the mic. Austin, at Judgment day you did not beat me. I was not the legal man in the ring. I am taking it upon myself to correct the record book. Plan B goes into effect tonight. Austin, if you have the guts to walk out here I would like to explain to you my new plan face to face.

Austin comes to the ring.

Arn Anderson gets on the mic. In the event you are thinking of doing something foolish let me remind you that Flair has permanent backup. That would be me, Arn Anderson.

Flair gets on the mic. Clearly I made some of the same mistakes that Vince did by putting you against all odds. It doesn't work. Plan B. You are the property of Raw. You are my property. I will do to you the worse thing I could possibly do to you and all these fans. I'm taking you out of matches in the ring. I'm gonna take from you what makes you tick. I'm taking you out of that thrill of competition that winds you up every day. As of tonight you are benched. You got the night off so get out of my sight right now. I want you to hit the bricks.

Austin attacks Flair and Anderson, giving them both stunners. Austin drinks some beer and leaves to the back.

Raven comes to the announce table. Raven insults Ross and Lawler for not knowing anything about wrestling. Raven says he is out there to show them how to commentate correctly.

Hardy Boys vs Booker T and Goldust
Booker with a sidekick on Matt. Goldust with a butt bump on Matt. Matt with an inverted ddt on Goldust. Xpac and Big Show walkd down to the ring and watch. Goldust receives a shot from Xpac which allow Matt to roll Goldust up for the pin.
Winners: hardy Boys

Austin and Debra walk into the world famous Mugs Pub in Memphis and order two beers.

Back from commercial Booker T, Goldust, Xpac, and Big Show are still in the ring. Booker gets on the mic and asks Xpac if they are on the same team. Xpac says they are on the same team but where was Booker last night when the nWo needed him. Xpac says Booker was at the hotel was some girl. Booker says atleast he can get laid. Show gets on the mic and tells Booker they didn't ask him to be in this group and he will take him out right now.

Kevin Nash comes to the ring. Nash stares down Goldust. Goldust leaves the ring. Nash says he runs the nWo. Nash tells Show the last two weeks he has nade the nWo colors pathetic. Nash tells Booker that the nWo logo was the most feared logo this sport has ever seen. Nash says he and Show are the two biggest guys in this company and when they team up together no one can beat them. Nash asks Show if he is with him. Show and Xpac raise their fingers to Nash's. Nash tells Booker even though they didn't invite him they have plenty of room for a 5 time world champion. Booker raises his fingers to the rest of the nWo's fingers. Nash hugs Booker and Xpac.

At Mugs Pub, a waitress gives Debra a teddy bear and Austin a beer, courtesy of Eddie Guerrero. Austin and Debra look across the room at Eddie, and he toasts them. Austin asks Debra why he bought her the bear. Debra says she does not know. Austin throws the bear down.

At the announce table Raven insults Lawler for always cracking jokes and not knowing anything about wrestling.

Raven enters the ring with a mic in hand. You don't know a thing about wrestling anymore. You used to be a legend but now your just a has been. If you are not to afraid of being enbarassed, I will go to the back and put on my gear for a match with you.

Lawler gets on the house mic. Tell me you just didn't challenge me to a match in my hometown.

Oh yeah I did King.

Go to the back and get your gear on and when you get back the King will be waiting for you in the ring.

At Mugs Pub, Debra asks Austin to sings a song for her. Austin goes to the front of the bar. Eddie Guerrero tells Austin he will sing. Austin says Debra said his name not Eddie's. Eddie and Debra encourage Austin to go sit down, which he does. Eddie starts singing a very horrible version of Garth Brooks' "Shameless".

Raven vs Jerry Lawler
Slam by Raven followed by an elbow drop. Clothesline by Raven. Raven kicks Lawler down in the corner. Raven punches Lawler out of the ring. Punches by Lawler. Dropkick by Lawler. Lawler bounces Raven's head off the turnbuckles. Raven rolls out of the ring and walks to the back. Referee counts out Raven.
Winner by Countout: Jerry Lawler

At Mugs Pub, Austin sings Jimmy Buffett's "Margaritaville". Austin changes tunes and starts singing Hank Williams Jr.'s "Family Tradition". Austin walks to the table Eddie is sitting at with a few girls. Austin asks one of the girls if Eddie likes the song he was singing. Eddie refuses to look Austin in the eye and doesn't say a word. Austin says since Eddie has been bothering him all night he is going to sing another song. Eddie gets up and breaks a beer bottle over Austin's head.

WWE Undisputed Championship
Rob Van Dam vs The Undertaker
RVD flies out of the ring on Undertaker. Back in the ring RVD hits a missile dropkick for a two count. RVD with a stepover heel kick for a two count. RVD clotheslines Undertaker out of the ring. RVD follows out and sends Undertaker into the security wall. RVD with a guiloteen ledrop on Undertaker's arm over the security wall. Back in the ring Undertaker hits a clothesline. RVD walks into a big boot. Undertaker loosens the top turnbuckle pad. Undertaker misses an elbow drop. RVD dropkicks Undertaker in the jaw three times for a two count. Undertaker punches RVD down in the corner. RVD with a spinning heel kick followed by the rolling thunder for the pin. Undertaker's foot was on the ropes but the referee did not see it. Flair comes out and says that Undertaker's foot was on the ropes and there is no way that a title will change hands like that with him around. Flair orders the match to continue. RVD puches Flair. RVD turns around and Undertaker gives him the last ride powerbomb for the pin.
Winner: The Undertaker
