InsurreXtion WWF pay per view results, London England 04 May 2002
Eddie Guererro defending the Intercontinental title against Rob Van Dam opened things up and it was a solid match as both worked hard. RVD got a DQ win after Guererro nailed the referee.
Next up we saw Trish and Jackie take on Molly on Jazz, it was your typical diva match and the team of Trish and Jackie got the win.
Bradshaw took on X-Pac next and to be honest for two veteran professionals there were numerous mistakes throughout the match. Most noticeable when X-Pac after taking the turnbuckle pad off started to smash Bradshaw’s head into the steel, X-Pac moved away his hand and Bradshaw carried on smashing his head into the steel, the camera was doing a close-up shot as well. On another messed up spot Jim Ross tried to cover it up by saying "Nice anticipation". Scott Hall came out and attacked Bradshaw and X-Pac got the win.
Hardcore title on the line next as recent winner Steven Richards took on Booker T who was substuting for Bubba Ray Dudley who was at home with his ill mother. Booker was over as a face and both worked quite stiff with each other, Richards mouth was slightly busted. Booker T won the title however Crsah came down and won the title from Booker, Booker then won the title back. Justin Credible and Tommy Dreamer then came down, Jazz also came down and nailed Booker T and Richards put Booker through a table to win back the title.
Odd pairing of Shawn "Planet" Stasiak and Brock Lesnar took on Hardyz next in a comical encounter by Stasiak. The Hardyz got the win over Stasiak and after the match Lesnar nailed both Hardyz and Stasiak.
England’s own William Regal took on Spike Dudley next in a European title match. Spike did a work during the match where he appeared to injure his ankle, the trainer came out and took off Spike’s boot and then started to take Spike backstage. Regal attacked Spike and the match continued until Spike got the pinfall victory. After the match Regal nailed Spike with the brass knuckles.
Steve Austin took on The Big Show next in a grudge match and Ric Flair announced himself as the special second referee, he was staying on the outside of the ring to make sure nobody interferred. Nice "You fat bastard" chant from the crowd to Bigshow. The referee took a bump and Hall and X-Pac came down only to have Flair chase them off. Kevin Nash then made a not so surprising appearance and was stunned by Austin, Austin then stunned Show ttwice for the win. Flair then came back and Austin and Flair did a What! Promo and Austin stunned Flair.
Final match of the night next as Taker took on Triple H, the top rope broke during the match which seriously caused both men problems in the match and it came out not as good as it could have been because of this. Quote of the pay per view and perhaps the year goes to Jim Ross for the "HHH is jerking The Undertaker off", yes he actually said it! HHH got the win!
Overall an okay card but I could not believe the Bradshaw mistake it looked pathetic, was it worth £14 - no way but what PPV this year has been?

I just got back from WWF Insurrextion at Wembley Arena. It was a pretty good show and the crowd was pumped throughout. The marketing stands were swamped, with endless queues for T-Shirts and other merchandise. The show started with an intro from the fink. Debra came out as a 'surprise' and said Steve was backstage and looking forwards to the match. Then JR and the king came out.
Dark Match: Mr. Perfect vs. Goldust This was quite a solid match with lots of lots of heat for both guys. Mr Perfect picked up the win with the perfect plex.
Eddy Guerrero vs. Rob Van Dam This was unquestionably the match of the evening. Both RVD and Guerrero were on top form. Rob Van Dam one by DQ when Guerrero knocked over the ref.
Bradshaw vs. X-Pac As expected, this was the weakest match of the evening. I couldn't help but feel I was watching WWF Heat during the match. The crowd was pretty much dead throughout. X-Pac did the X Factor and got the win.
The Hardy Boyz vs. Brock Lesnar & Shawn Stasiak This one started off with a promo by Paul Heyman. He told Stasiak to stay out of the match and let Brock do all the work. During the match, the hardys teamed up on Brock, knocking him out of the ring. Stasiak entered, and soon got pinned. Brock entered the ring and power bombed all three competitors.
Spike Dudley vs. William Regal William Regal got lots of heat in this match. Spike faked a leg injury and was carried out. Regal attacked him, and dragged him back to the win. While distracted, Spike rolled him up for the pin.
Trish & Jackie vs. Molly & Jazz Boring match, Trish got a pop at the beginning but the crowd wasn't into it at all. Trish pinned Jazz for the win.
Steve Austin vs. Big Show Before the match kicked off, Ric Flair came out stating that he'll be the second referee for the match. The match went at a slow pace, but picked up on the arrival of Kevin Nash, who was the recipient of a stunner. Austin stunned Show for the win. The crowd kept chanting 'you fat bastard' throughout to the Big Show.
Triple H vs. Undertaker Both Triple H and the Undertaker came out to huge pops. During the match the top rope came loose, so they couldn't use them as much. HHH hit undertaker with the pedigree.
After the show, HHH posed for 5 minutes. When he was walking up the ramp, a lady got onto the ramp and ran at him. Triple HH grabbed her and pushed her out the back to some security. The fink thanked everyone for coming. End show.
Well, I hope that gave you an insight into the UK's premiere wrestling event. It was worth the hassle of trying to get the tickets!
