--As we reported earlier, Lou Thesz, considered by some as the best pro wrestler ever, passed away today at 7:35 AM. He was in hospital for the past two weeks after undergoing an open heart surgery.

His wife has sent out this message: “Lou will be cremated here in Florida, I will take his ashes to St.Louis, we will have a simple memorial service (yet to be determined), and I will let his ashes go into the Merrimac River where his happy memories of life started. Later we will have a wake type party here in Winter Garden. Don't mourn - just love what he gave you. He loved and appreciated what you all gave him.”

Any contributions, in the form of flowers for the memorial service, should be sent to the following addresses:

    IWIM/Thesz Memorial Fund,
    P.O. Box 794,
    Newton,
    IA - 50208.

    Sheldon Goldberg,
    P.O. Box 783783,
    Winter Garden,
    FL - 34778.

--Apart from April Hunter, Daffney and Josh Matthews; Bobby Rude, Mitch Paradise and Adera participated in last week’s WWF tryout camp in Cincinnati, OH.

--Chris Benoit is in Hawaii for a vacation with his family. He told fans there that he is in an awesome shape and should be able to back on television in six to eight weeks.

--The early estimates for the WWF Backlash buyrate are appearing low.

--The early estimates for the weekend say that “The Scorpion King” will gross $17.57 million (which is a 51% drop from last weekend) by the end of business tonight. However, it will still easily remain the top movie in the United States.
