WWF book news, Daffney, TAKA Michinoku, and more

WWF Book News: Fabulous Moolah's book, "First Goddess of the Squared Circle", has been completed and should be coming out sometime soon. Hulk Hogan's writers are working very hard to get his book out very soon, citing the fact that he's red-hot in the WWF now to make for perfect timing. Nothing much on the Ric Flair book. The WWF, as reported earlier, made an attempt to buy the rights of the book and release it as their own. Who knows if that deal went down or not, as Flair's original book deal was signed a while ago. Bradshaw's book on the Stock Market, with Dallas News sportswriter Cody Monk, will now have a September 2003 release. (Meltzer, 2002)

Former WCW manager Daffney has been contacted by the WWF to attend a tryout camp to see what the WWF can sign since they are demanding new talent because of the split. As reported earlier, April Hunter has also been contacted. (Meltzer, 2002)

Magazines in Japan are saying that TAKA Michinoku has signed a new 3 year deal with the WWF. If so, it would indicate that the WWF might not be doing some rounds of layoffs of wrestlers, as TAKA's contract could just expire without the WWF bothering to resign him. (Meltzer, 2002)

Mixed Martial Arts fighter Don Frye was backstage at RAW on April 8th, doing whatever. Last year, Frye talked with the WWF about coming in once his deal with New Japan had expired, but the WWF didn't seem interested at the time.
