News on the Rock, Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, Guerrero, and Misterio

The current idea is for the Rock to return to the WWF, for whatever length of time that may be, in June. Right now, the Rock is making all kinds of media stops in the United States to promote his movie, the Scorpion King. Then, he'll move on to do an overseas media tour, mainly hitting WWF hotspots to really maximize the promoting of his movie. After the media promotions, he'll take a few weeks off from everything after the grueling promoting, and possibly return in June. (Meltzer, 2002)

Hulk Hogan is now likely to work more houseshows to probably fill the void of the Rock's absence. (Meltzer, 2002)

Everything with Steve Austin seems to be fine now with the WWF. Many have acknowledged that his walkout after Wrestlemania was from being burnt out and holding feelings in for so long about the current direction of the WWF that he just simply exploded after wrestling Scott Hall at Wrestlemania 18. There was an all around acceptance that in the WWF that he didn't have a strong program for Wrestlemania, the biggest WWF show of the year. (Meltzer, 2002)

Eddie Guerrero has been attending AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) meetings regularly lately. (Meltzer, 2002) Guerrero was released by the WWF a while ago for a DUI while recovering from an addiction of pain killers. Guerrero has since been given a second chance by the WWF.

Speaking of Eddie Guerrero, he missed last weekend's WWF houseshows to fulfill his indie bookings made before returning to the WWF. (Meltzer, 2002)

Although Rey Misterio has yet to sign a deal with the WWF, he has made a verbal committment to the WWF to eventually sign sometime soon. (Meltzer, 2002)
