    Long time no see eh? Notice how I speak two languages English and Canadian eh? Okay that was a really bad joke at the expense to my neighbor to the North, but it's not like I've ever told a good joke. So I have been gone for the past two weeks, and believe it or not I missed nothing. Wrestling nowadays seems to be moving in slow motion, which I guess in some ways, is good. Oh just a reminder my birthday is Wednesday so if anyone wants to send me gifts just email and I will send you my mailing address J Sad to say but I have no time for a usual short comments on debatable issues this week because of various assignments that I must do today, but I guess some column is better than no column eh? So lets just get on with it.

    Keep an eye open for these things in wrestling this week

    1. Who is the No. 1 Contender?
    2. Benoit comes back?!?
    3. The WWF to mention the record-breaking numbers of Scorpion King 100 times
    4. Will Hogan actually will the Undisputed Title?
    5. Booking to begin for the next PPV...hopefully
    6. What Ric Flair will do as the ref!
    7. More of Mark Henry proving his strength
    8. Who gets kicked off of Tough Enough
    9. Possible heel turns at the PPV

    A Look At Backlash

    It's that time again for another PPV offering by the WWF. To say the booking for this PPV has been crappy would be a huge understatement. Very few of the matches on the card have any type of meaning to them. My expectations for this PPV are extremely low, but lets just look at the matches anyway shall we.

    Bradshaw vs. Scott Hall

    Wow this match is going to be bad. I hope this thing isn't place too high up on the card because I really can't see this thing being good in any way. I really hope I have to eat my words because I would love for them to surprise me, but this combination just doesn't seem to match up well.
    Brock Lesnar vs. Jeff Hardy
    Originally supposed to be Vs Matt Hardy we get to see Brock kill a member of the Hardy family. Jeff will most likely take some sort of insane bump or bumps, and it will probably be entertaining to watch at least.

    Tag Team Championship
    Billy & Chuck vs. Al Snow & Maven

    You know your tag team division is in bad shape when this is the title match you have on your PPV. I know its just Backlash, but lets be serious. Is there anyone out there right now that can honestly say that they look forward to this match? No I didn't think so. Big props to Maven though for making it on yet another WWF PPV.

    Women's Championship
    Jazz vs. Trish Stratus

    Could be good...oh wait no it can't

    Intercontinental Championship
    Rob Van Dam vs. Eddie Guerrero

    I'll take a wild guess and say that a majority of the people are looking forward to this match more than any other one tonight, and I would be in the majority. Eddie Guerrero is going to show that he deserves to be back in the WWF, and just being in the ring with Eddie will raise the level of RVD's performance. I will make the call and say this is going to be match of the night.

    Cruiserweight Championship
    Kidman vs. Tajiri (with Torrie)

    Another match that I can actually say I am looking forward to. Unlike many of the other matches tonight there is a story behind it. Look definitely for Torrie to stick her nose in this match and side back with Billy Kidman. If they give these two time we could be in store for a treat.

    Edge vs. Kurt Angle
    Interesting match up we have here. Kurt Angle is always on his game, and Edge is normally pretty reliable to put on a good match. There definitely could be something good here, but I really couldn't say. This could be the dark horse of the evening.

    No. 1 Contenders Match
    Special referee: Ric Flair
    Stone Cold Steve Austin vs. Undertaker
    Another Stone Cold Vs Undertaker match hooray!! Well before any of you change the channel when this match comes up let me remind you of the wildcard for this match. Yes that is correct Ric Flair is going to be the special referee, and without a doubt he will somehow become a factor in the final outcome of the match. I would hate to see Undertaker win this match because from the looks of it he would be fighting Hogan and that match would be just plain ugly!

    Undisputed World Wrestling Federation Championship
    Triple H vs. Hollywood Hulk Hogan

    Honestly I couldn't give a rats ass about this match. Hogan is going to be totally exposed in this match, and HHH will not be able to carry him. I would hope that Chris Jericho makes his presence known in this match because a feud between him and HHH in the Summer would be really awesome. There is always a possibility it could be good, but there is also always a possibility of winning the lottery.

    On paper this PPV looks mediocre at best. The WWF normally delivers on their PPV's so hopefully this one won't be the exception. I still don't know why Jericho has no match tonight, and I'm sure he doesn't either. Oh well enjoy the show...hehehe

    1. Backlash is a pleasant surprise
    2. The WWF actually writes some storylines
    3. Little Guido is signed by the WWF
    4. Nova is signed by the WWF
    5. Hogan doesn't win the title
    6. The WWF stops this dumb as hell strong man contests with Mark Henry
    7. Tag Team division is given some kind of direction besides in the shitter
    8. Benoit is given a push upon returning
    9. Vince listen to me...come closer...closer...WE NEED LONG TERM BOOKING TO MAKE TV INTERESTING AGAIN PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!!!

    Yet another column in the books although it is rather short. If everything goes right this week I will be back with a real column instead of the poor excuse for one that we have today. Oh and in case you missed it in the intro Wednesday is my birthday and I do accept personal checks.
