-A decent night of Ohio Valley Wrestling with a solid main event. There
were a couple of amateur matches on the card, which I believe is to make up
for the backstage interview segments which were briefly shown before the
taping on the screen, didn’t hear them.

-Leviathan w/ Synn vs. Sean O’Haire

-The two got off to their “Battle of the Giants” of OVW match with a deep
staredown to start things off. Leviathan took the early upperhand on
O’Haire, displaying some impressive footwork after a kick to the stomach and
a nice spin-kick to the head of O’Haire. After spinebuster from Leviathan,
followed by a two count O’Haire managed to regain some of the offense and
took the upperhand for a bit. O’Haire delivered a shoulder to Leviathan
while he was in the corner followed by an impressive back handspring. The
match ended after the “Demon” regained the offense and held up Sean for Synn
to spray mace in the face of him, but O’Haire ducked out of the way and the
mace was sprayed right in the face of Leviathan. Unfortunately for O’Haire,
this did not cost Leviathan the win as he kicked up at two. After a few
seconds the “Demon” pulled off the spear from nowhere and picked up the
three count on O’Haire. After the match, Leviathan got in Synn’s face asking
why she sprayed him, but Synn was left at a loss for words.

    -Winner via pinfall Leviathan

-Next, Jim Cornette was joined in the ring with the “Revolution”: Doug
Basham, Damaja, Queen Victoria and Johnny Spade. Cornette went straight to
business and asked about why Spade was back interfering in a match even
though he had been suspended indefinitely. Spade got on the mic and stated
that he had every right to, as he has done some research with the Athletic
commission, and found a loophole allowing him to return. He gave Cornette
the paper, and Cornette read off what the loophole was. Spade was allowed to
return to OVW, because when a wrestler is suspended he is subject to a
hearing within 60 days of his suspension. If there is no hearing then the
suspension is nullified and the suspended wrestler may return to the active
roster. After this was said Jim Cornette mentions to the other part of the
Revolution, the Southern Tag Team Champions, Damaja and Basham, that there
is a Four Corners Tag Elimination match. Damaja gets on the mic and said
they aren’t worried and to prove it they would put their tag titles on the
line. Cornette immediately saw that Damaja wanted it to be a free for all
match opposed to everyone against the Revolution, but decided it’d be worth
the chance of seeing the Revolution lose the belts and sanctioned the title
    defense.

-Two amateur matches took place next. Johnny Jeter took on someone who I do
not know the name of, and had a decent match. Jeter has come a long way and
has made some very progressive changes and is really starting to make a
connection with the Davis Arena crowd. Jeter’s opponent tonight has miles
and miles and miles to go.

-The other match squaring off Mark Magnus against Static D was somewhat
good, with Static D showing off some good cruiserweight moves, but the match
seemed to really lack cohesiveness as well as psychology. Out of all the
amateurs tonight, I’d expect the most from Jeter.

-Trailer Park Trash/Flash vs. Redd Dogg/Shelton Benjamin w/ Nidia vs.
Nick Dinsmore/Rob Conway vs. Doug Basham and Damaja w/ Victoria
    FOUR CORNERS TAG ELIMINATION MATCH
OVW SOUTHERN TAG TEAM TITLE MATCH

-A very good match for the Southern Tag Titles with Nick Dinsmore and
Trailer Park Trash squaring it off to open things up. Dinsmore attempted to
get the early pinfall with a schoolboy rollup but only got a two. He then
went for the drop toe hold into the headlock on TPT, maintaining the early
offense. Conway was tagged in, but didn’t get much in on TPT because he
tagged in Flash who was the recipient of a drop toe hold by Conway.
Eventually Shelton and Flash ended up together in the ring, and demonstrated
some very quick paced and impressive wrestling, very agile. Doug Basham was
then in the ring as well as Rob Conway. Nick Dinsmore ended up being tagged
and Conway and Dinsmore were in against each other as team mates. The two
locked up as it seemed as if they were going to go at it, but ran opposite
ropes crossing each other and eventually stopping in the Revolutions corner
delivering two blows to Basham and Damaja respectively sending the Davis
Arena crowd to their feet. This was considered as a double tag by referee
Robert Brisko putting Damaja and Basham in the ring against each other. The
two pretended as if they were going to tie up, but went directly for
Dinsmore and Conway who dodged their attack. They then went for Trash and
Flash, who moved as well, and finally the team of Redd Dogg and Shelton, but
to no avail. Eventually some tags are exchanged and Flash and Redd Dogg end
up together in the ring. Dogg delivered a very big slam to Flash echoing
throughout the Davis Arena. Flash then tagged in Dinsmore, but seconds later
made the blind tag to Redd Dogg who was whipped off the ropes, since Flash
was legal he then delivered the Whiplash to Dinsmore and picked up the three
count. Dinsmore then German suplexed Flash, even though he had been
eliminated, which allowed Damaja to pin Flash, leaving the final two teams
at Redd Dogg and Benjamin against Damaja and Basham for the Tag Titles.
Eventually Redd Dogg and Damaja start trading closed fists going at it hard
in the ring, Damaja then gets the eye poke to Redd Dogg, but is not that
effected by it as he continued to regain the uppehand on the Revolution
member. Eventually Basham is tagged in and turns the tides on Dogg once
again. He then taunted Shelton, which made him try and enter, but get held
back by the ref as Damaja and Basham double clotheslined Dogg. The match
came to an end just as Benjamin pulled off a picture perfect crescent kick.
Just as this happened, Nidia went to Victoria and attacked her brawling with
her on the outside of the ring on the ground. Shelton only picked up a two
count after his kick. Johnny Spade then came running into the ringside area
and got up on the ring apron distracting Shelton. Benjamin laid him out hard
on the apron, but this allowed Basham to get back to his feet and he
delivered a hard shot to Benjamin’s face. Basham then covered up Shelton and
picked up the three count and the pinfall. After the match there was an all
out brawl that lasted for quite a few minutes, until the team of Benjamin,
Dogg and Nidia ended up with the complete upperhand taking out the
Revolution, concluding another great week of Ohio Valley Wrestling.
