    Hulk Hogan on Regis 3-29-02
    Report by Kevin Schmid

Hogan comes out to cheers from the audience. He talks about how he was in the WWF then left. While the whole time the fans were still with him. He talked about how through the years he has changed along with the fans. He mentions how he does not wear the red and yellow anymore, but still rips the shirt off from time to time. Hogan talks about how when he was gone his father passed away late last year. He said that one of the last things that his father told him was to do was to go back to the WWF. After his father passed away, Vince contacted Hogan, and asked Hogan if he was ready to come back.

They then showed a recap of Hogans past appearances on Regis. They showed Hogan "hulking up" and posing with Regis. It is funny when Regis stands beside Hogan. He is so small compared to Hogan. It was a very funny clip.

After the break, they showed a clip of Wrestlemania 18 where the fans booed The Rock, and cheered Hogan. They also talked about how Hogan was wrestling with two bad ribs.

Hogan talked about his son, and how he wants to be a wrestler someday. He mentioned that his son has met Shane, and is buddies with him, and how he hangs out back stage with other wrestlers. (That is one lucky kid if you ask me!!)

Hogan talked a little about his daughter, and how she wants to be a dancer. Hogan said that someone from a certain person for a "boy band" has called to talk to her. He said he did not like him calling and said to not call back.

Thats about all from the interview. Regis asked Hogan for one more pose down, and Hogan agreed. They stood up, and began. They were playing Hogans music in the background. It was pretty comical stuff. In all a good interview.

In the beginning of the interview they hand some mic troubles, so Regis had to hold up a mic. I was not sure if it was for Regis, or Hogan....I could hear both fine on my TV.

The overnight Smackdown rating came in at a 5.1. Last week's overnight rating was a 5.5.

Steve Austin missing Wednesday's house show in Gainsville, Florida has gained a lot of bad press from the local newspaper. Read an article about it here - http://www.gainesvillesun.com/articles/2002-03-28b.shtml

Most of the WWF management team was at the house show last night in East Rutherford, New Jersey because it is so close to Stamford, Connecticut.

    UPN Covers Austin/WWF situation

[Sources: UPN13-Los Angeles and Cody Monk of The Dallas Morning News.]

--KCOP-UPN Ten o'clock news in Los Angeles ran a story last night on the current Austin/WWF situation. In the segment, it was said that after wrestlermania, Austin went home, and hadn't been back since. And the segment questioned weather or not this was a storyline or the real thing.

"Stone Cold Steve Austin took his toys and went home after WrestleMania." Says Cody Monk of the Dallas Morning News. "The Texas Rattlesnake was not happy about the direction of his feud with Scott Hall and the recent decisions management, specifically Vince McMahon, had made concerning the angle. The WWF had wanted to extend the feud, but Austin wanted it to end and complained about the pacing and scripting of Sunday's match to the point that he got his way with the feud being blown off."

--Steve Austin is expected at RAW this Monday. And with the Rock taking time off to promote his movie sometime in the summer, Austin is likely to be the WWF's top baby-face, and play a critical role in the Flair/McMahon draft story line.

I just got back from Lupo's in Providence and I caught this band by the name
of "Dog Fashion Disco" . Let me first say that these guys played some
GREAT music, and everyone should check them out. What relates them
to the wrestling world was the fact that they showed some great westling
clips that I had never seen before. I'm talking about stuff like old Von
Erich footage, Classic Ric Flair stuff, even some old Philly ECW stuff.
Great backdrop for a great show.
