Last night I attended the house show in Wilkes-Barre, PA. I've been to every WWF house show that they've had their so far and I must say it was a pretty good show.
Howard Finkel first comes out for the introduction. You gotta love this guy. Everytime I go to a house show I hope he's there.
Christian vs. Diamond Dallas Page
Christian gets on the mic to get heat with the crowd. Good match betweens these two. DDP still looks good in the ring and adding Christian made it very entertaining. Both wrestlers hit some nice moves during the length of the match. DDP would end up winning with the Diamond Cutter. After the match, Christian had one of his little fits. Very funny stuff.
Winner: Diamond Dallas Page
World Wrestling Federation Women's Championship Match:
Jazz (Champion) vs. Molly Holly
This match was just ok. Jazz dominated the whole match and Molly just took everything. Jazz applied an STF and Molly tapped out.
Winner: Jazz
World Wrestling Federation Tag Team Championship Match:
Billy and Chuck (Champions) with Rico vs. The Hardy Boyz
This match was alot better than I expected it to be. Chuck is very funny at house shows. He does this stupid pose which is just ridiculous and the fans booed him all night for it. The Hardy Boyz worked well in the ring with Billy and Chuck, and they put together a nice match. Jeff Hardy delivered the Twist of Fate which is unusual to see. As Jeff was going to the top rope for the Swanton, Rico pushed him off. Billy and Chuck got the pinfall and walked out.
Winners: Billy and Chuck
Brock Lesnar vs. Spike Dudley
The only thing good about this match was that I got to see how big Brock Lesnar really is. And to tell you the truth, he's a monster. The match sucked. Lesnar just beat the shit out of Spike and ended it with his finisher. After the match, Hurricane ran to the ring and attempted to chokeslam Lesnar. It wasn't gonna happen and Lesnar beat him down.
Winner: Brock Lesnar
World Wrestling Federation Intercontinental Championship Match:
Rob Van Dam (Champion) vs. William Regal
One of the best matches of the night was put on right now. Regal is slower than Van Dam, but both men work very well together. A couple of high-flying moves were distributed by Van Dam, much to the delight of the fans. Regal went in his trunks to get the knucks, but Van Dam kicked Regal down and hit the Five-Star Frog Splash for the win.
APA with Stacy Keibler vs. The Dudley Boyz
The Dudley Boyz got on the mic and said how this would be there last match as a tag team, and that they wanted to go out with a win. APA came out and Bradshaw got on the mic. He said the Dudley Boyz claim they are the "best tag team in the WWF." Bradshaw says that claim is a bunch of crap. Bradshaw also says that this is also the APA's last night as a team, and they plan to go out with a win also. Not a bad match put on by both teams. A little slow at some points, but it turned out nice. Bradshaw hit the Closeline from Hell for the pin. After the match, Bradshaw attempted to suplex D-Von trough a table, but D-Von pushed Bradshaw through it. When all 4 men recovered, they shook hands, thanked eachother for the memories, and drank beer.
Winners: APA
Intermission
Booker T vs. Tazz
Not a great match here. Booker T carried most of it. Tazz had the Tazzmission locked in, but Booker T counted with an elbow to the mid-section. Then he did the scissors kick for the win.
Winner: Booker T
Rikishi vs. Scott Hall
Man, Scott Hall is hilarious in person. The way he walks, taunts, poses, and looks are just all funny. He through his tooth pick in Rikishi's eye and then the match started. It was a pretty good match overall. It went back and forth for the most part. Rikishi got to stink face Hall and then went for the Banzai Drop. Hall put his knees up straight into Rikishi's ass and covered him. With Hall's feet on the ropes, he got the three count.
Winner: Scott Hall
World Wrestling Federation Undisputed Championship Match:
Triple H (Champion) vs. Kevin Nash with X-Pac
Triple H enters to an unbelievable pop. He come to the ring and poses lik he usually does. The fans ate everything up. X-Pac comes to the ring and gets on the mic. X-Pac talks about their past. He talks about their DX days and how the NWO should be reformed. He gives Triple H an NWO shirt and tells him to join. Triple H refuses and X-Pac begins yelling at him. Triple H punches X-Pac and throws him out of the ring. Then he wipes his ass with the shirt and throws it at him. Nash walks out and takes the shirt from X-Pac. He gets in the ring and tells Hunter to join. Triple H throws the shirt at Nash and the match finally begins. Triple H looked the best out of all the wrestlers I've seen in a while. You can really tell how hard h works. I was very happy to see the re-birth of the "Greco-Roman Knuckle Lock." Very good stuff. Triple H would hit the Pedigree on Nash to end it.! Triple H posed for the crowd and the NWO left.
Winner: Triple H
