-A solid night of Ohio Valley Wrestling leading into
April 5th show at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom headlined
by Ric Flair.
-Mr. Black & Jerome Croney vs. Prototype & Sean O'Haire
-This match booked as a Grudge match as the team of Black
and Croney are former Bolin Services members basically
being pushed out by Prototype and O'Haire after O'Haire
won a match against Black for the Official Head of
Security of Bolin Services job. The match got off to
a funny start as Croney continually avoided Prototype
eventually pulling off a blind tag to Mr. Black as
Black got in delivering a huge clothesline to an
unbeknownst Prototype. Eventually Croney was tagged
back in as well as O'Haire and O'Haire took the immediate
upperhand against Croney. He went for a second rope
"Seanton" Bomb, but missed as Croney rolled out of the
way. Kenny "the King" Bolin made his way to the
commentator's booth early on to give his two bits of
input in as well. Eventually, Black recieved a hard
kick to the face and was hit by a big top rope splash
by Prototype as the current team of Bolin Services
gained the pinfall.
-Winners via pinfall Prototype & Sean O'Haire
-David Flair vs. Payne
DARK MATCH
-Payne was accompanied down to the ring by Damien his
tag team partner sporting a new beard look. Flair
started the match off working on the arm of Payne
eventually getting him in a headlock and taking off
his toboggan. Flair then proceeded to put on the
toboggan imitating Payne, recieving a good amount
of laughter from the Davis Arena crowd. Eventually
the two started to go at it, with Payne dominating
most of the offense, stomping Flair down into his
corner. Payne layed it into the ref pretty hard as
well, showing no respect. The match came to an end
as Flair was whipped into the side that Damien was
on and Damien stopped him, holding him still so
Payne could get a free shot. Unfortunately for him
Payne hit Damien and Flair made it into a good
position to get the schoolboy rollup and gain
the pinfall.
-Winner via pinfall David Flair
-Flash vs. Damien
DARK MATCH
-Immediately after the preceeding match Payne and Damien
started to argue in the ring, because of the outcome
and what happend, but the two made up with a nice
big hug. Flash then came down to the ring taking on
Damien. The two traded armbar manuevers until Flash took
the offense with a series of armdrags. Just after Damien
missed an elbow drop and the two made it back up to their
feet Flash was whipped towards Payne. Payne then stopped
Flash similar to the previous match with Damien and
David Flair, but Flash knew better. Just as Damien
tried to get the hit Flash stopped him and butted the
heads of Payne and Damien together. Flash then
got the schoolboy and the pinfall.
-Winner via pinfall Flash
-For the next segment taped for TV Jim Cornette was joined
by Nick Dinsmore, Rob Conway and Danny Davis. Cornette
asked about the TV Main event tonight and Danny says that
he had the privelege of sanctioning it. Before announcing
the main event Danny Davis went on to thank all of the
fans as well as Dean and Jimmy for such a great run in OVW,
just in case the Revolution won the Winner Take all match
on April 5th. Danny Davis then goes on to announce that
Nick Dinsmore will be taking on Doug Basham for tonights
Main Event. The Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom show has a
special 5:30 PM Bell time on April 5th.
-Shelton Benjamin & Redd Dogg vs. Johnny Jeter & Mark Magnus
w/ Nidia
-Two OVW Amatuers making their TV debut tonight in this
match, I do believe, with Jeter, recieving a good chant
before his opponents were announced. Benjamin and Dogg
basically demolished the two new comers as Jeter seemed
impressive, Magnus did not, just a personal opinion.
Benjamin delivered a huge spinebuster to Johnny early on.
Dogg came in a few seconds later to double team on
Jeter, delivering a huge double knee to the midsection.
The match came to an end before it could really get going
and the Deciples of Synn, Payne and Damien ran in attackign
Benjamin and Red Dogg. Tough Enough's Nidia attempted to
stop this, but to no prevail as Synn ran in delivering
a huge spear to Nidia as the Deciples controled the
bulk of the offense. Synn then got on the mic just before
the camera's went to commercials and said "I'll get you
my pretty, and your little Dogs too".
-No contest
-Mark Henry came in for the save on Dogg and Benjamin and
helped them to the back. He then brought out a bucket and
helped raise money, like he did last year, for the Crusade
for Children.
-Rob Conway vs. Big Bad John
DARK MATCH
-Overall a decent match with Conway being the technically
superior wrestler. The two traded moves back and forth
with Big Bad John recieving tremendous heat from the
crowd. BBJ pulled off a somewhat shady gutwrench
to Conway, but besides that is looking to be improving
and finding a pretty solid character, albeit B(ig) A(nd)
D(umb). Big Bad John ran into the corner going for Conway
but Conway moved out of the way and rolled him up for
the win.
-Winner via pinfall Rob Conway
-"Machine" Doug Basham vs. Nick Dinsmore
w/ Queen Victoria
TV MAIN EVENT
-The two stared each other down as the TV Main event got
underway and eventually tied off. The two had a great
opening spot reversing each other and trading armbar
maneuevers with no clear upperhand. Doug Basham gained
the offense with a running leg lariat, but Dinsmore came
back with an Atomic Drop followed by an inverted Atomic
Drop. After Basham regained some offense he threw Dinsmore
over the top rope, which would have been a Disqualification
but Dinsmore pulled himself back into the ring without
hitting the floor. Dinsmore accidentally ran into the
ref sending him down, and pulled off his German Suplex
but the ref was out and no count was made. Victoria came
in and attacked Nick. After some time Basham made it to
his feet and delivered the German Suplex to Dinsmore as
the ref was able to make the three count awarding the win
to Basham. After the announcement Brisko was persuaded by
the crowd, telling him what happened as he proceeded to
reverse his decision allowing the win to Dinsmore. After the
match Damaja came in as well as Rob Conway as the four
brawled. When The Revolution had the upperhand in the brawl
OVW owner Danny Davis came to the ring and cleared house
of The Revolution recieving a big "OVW" chant from the
Davis Arena crowd.
-Winner via pinfall Nick Dinsmore
