Austin at Raw, News on Excess and Jakked/Metal, and more

    Steve Corino was backstage at the Smackdown tapings last night in Philadelphia. The WWF invited Corino to the show to discuss coming into the company in a non-wrestling role, thought to be that of an announcing position. No other information is known at this time. Corino was contacted for comments but he only said he was there with his son visiting old friends.

    Droz was also backstage at the Smackdown tapings visiting friends.

    Last night at the Smackdown tapings a segment was done indicating that Steve Austin would be on Raw this Monday to announce which side he will join. There is a rumor going around that Austin has been taken off the Florida house shows this week even though WWF.com still lists him as being there, as seen below from the cards that were updated on March 21.

    The WWF may use Excess as an opportunity for those who do not get UPN to watch the highlights of Smackdown. Likewise, the weekend Jakked/Metal programs may be used in the same manner for those who do not get TNN. These decision are not certain although being considered.

    The early word on the Raw rating is that it did a 5.3. A complete ratings report will be posted later today.
