(SPOILERS) WWF SNH and Smackdown Taping Results from Philadelphia

    I just got back from Philly for Smackdown & Heat and let me tell you what an awesome show it was. First, they started off with the "Lonely Road of Faith" video. The crowd popped like mad for Hogan, Warrior, Austin vs. Rock, Sable, Rikishi, and more Rock. The nWo segment and Angle got huge heat. Then the first dark match was Crash & Kidman vs. Saturn and Hugh Morrus. Nice heat for Saturn & Hugh, and decent pop for Kidman & Tito's poster boy, Crash. Saturn sold an enziguiri like death, flopping like a fish out of water. He hit the DVD on (I think) Crash, but got a 2-count. Kidman won it with some weird X-Factor looking move (I think it's called the Kid Krusher).

    Next was Perfect, who got good heat. He did the towel flip at the top of the ramp. My friend had a sign of a target saying "Perfect Aim Your Gum Here". Randy Orton came out to mixed heat, since most didn't know who he was. Cowboy Bob's son moves well. During the match, Hennig lost his singlet, and was using it to choke Randy. Perfect won with the PerfectPlex after Orton missed a cross-body block from the top rope.

    Cole came out to "Click Click Boom" by Saliva, and Tazz came out to his Cypress Hill theme, accompanied by a small EC-Dub chant.

    Goldust got huge heat, and Edge got a massive pop. Nice moves by these two. Edge won with a spear after a lowblow.

    Don't ask me why, but Scotty 2 Hotty got a nice pop. Lance Storm came out to good heat (although I was cheering him). At one point, Storm had Scotty above his head for about 10 seconds in a suplex (reminded me of old-school British Bulldog). The W-O-R-M got a big pop as always. Storm won with a superkick.

    Next they taped the Smackdown intro, and then Jazz came out next to a non-title match. She was getting mostly X-Pac heat, not "You're a good heel" heat, the "We don't want to see you cuz we hate you" heat. Molly Holly (???) came out, with a new Titantron and music. No one around us knew she was back to old Molly, although after hitting Helms with a frying pan, one could assume they were broken up. You can still see the smoke from the intro pyros during the beginning of the match. A big "Molly" chant during the match. Jazz won with the STF, which she refused to release afterwards.

    Tajiri w/ Torrie vs. Regal for the Euro belt next. Torrie got nice pops, while Regal got awesome heat. I noticed he wasn't checked for brass knucks. Big "Regal sucks" chant, and the crowd popped like mad for the Tarantula. Regal got the 1-2-3 with a double underhook powerbomb into a pin.

    Then Lilian sang the National Anthem, and King came out to a big pop.

    We found out it would be a six-man tag main event, with the nWo taking on Hogan, Rock, and Kane.

    Booker's pyros are loud and HOT!!! I was up in the mezzanine and I felt a wall of heat hit me when he came out. DDP got a good pop. Small "Let's go Flyers" chant during the beginning. DDP hit the Diamond Cutter, and then Lesnar ran in and hit him with the flapjack (I think that's what it's called, it's what he did to Maven the first night he came out). Heyman & Lesnar stalked the ring while refs checked DDP. Lesnar left through the crowd, though I didn't see Booker leave.

    Medal hits, and Angle comes out to HUGE heat. The "You suck, WHAT?" was in full effect. He says that he wrestled in 1996 at the Olympics, the least you people can do is show some appreciation. (Still with the You Suck chant). Well you people suck too. (Massive heat.) You are pathetic. (What?) It was a crime Stephanie had to leave. (What?) You people like that? (Insert your own What?s). Show some compassion, this is supposed to be the City of Brotherly Love. Stephanie brought joy & happiness to millions of people every week. I won't let her work go unrecognized. I ask a moment of silence for appreciation. The lights go out, and a sad looking Stephanie pic comes up on the OvalTron. Crowd, naturally, is anything but silent. "Asshole" chant starts. Don't listen to them, Steph, these aren't your true fans. Show a little respect, or I'll beat it out of you. (Heat.) OK, it's go time.

    "No Chance" hits, and out walks Vince. The McMahon name is worth more than all you people put together. This is all HHH's fault. He seduced my daughter, married her, then humiliated her on TV. He's a real sonuvabitch. At least he'll be on Smackdown! I will make his life a living hell.

    Motorhead hits, and the crowd goes ape. Out walks The Game with both belts. Is that what you think? You think I'm a bad influence, selfish, rotten, horrible, a sonuvabitch? Let me set you straight: you ain't seen nothin' yet. You screw with me, I'll make your life a living hell. Since you miss Steph so much (at this point, a Slut chant starts up, and HHH says to the crowd sarcastically "you people should all be ashamed"), maybe Kurt's right, we need to honor Steph. The recap of the RAW match is shown, and the crowd sings "Na na na nah, hey hey hey, goodbye" along with the HHH video. Kurt says I've had enough of this. I want a match with that SOB, Vince, I'm beggin' ya. Vince says I want a piece of him too. HHH says I don't care which one of you wants me, Game On! Vince makes a handicap match, Vince/Kurt vs. HHH.

    WHOOOO!!! Out walks Flair. Huge pop. Hey Vince, did I hear you making rules again? I'm still 50% owner tonight. HHH will have a partner. This is my last Smackdown. In Philly, when I was champ, I used to party here all night long. Flair says HHH, keep Angle off of me tonight so I can kick that SOB's ass. So now it's Flair/HHH vs. Vince/Kurt. When the cameras went off, Vince was mouthing off to Kurt, he looked pissed

    Backstage segment - Buh Buh & D-Von in the locker room. I couldn't hear too well because the crowd was so nuts, but the essentials were, D-Von - If we beat Billy & Chuck for the tag titles, we can stay together as a team. If we lose, you go your way, I'll go mine, this could be our last tag match together. Buh Buh - If it has to end, it ends here tonight in a great city (HUGE pop), we're former WCW tag champs, 6-time WWF tag champs, 8-time ECW tag champs, no one can take that away from us. We're gonna take B&C to the EXTREME. D-Von says Testify!

    Billy & Chuck come out with Rico. Dudleyz come out to MASSIVE face pop. EC-Dub chant breaks out. Anyone else find it funny that only a few years ago Billy was known as Mr. Ass, and was walking around saying "Suck it!"? Dudleyz hit the Doomsday Device on one of them, but Rico provides distraction, and gets chased up the ramp by D-Von. Billy hits the fameasser on an alone Buh Buh for the pin. After the match D-Von runs back down and they clean house. 3-D on one of them (Chuck now has short hair like Billy, and it was hard to tell them apart). Wazzup headbutt (I think they liked it). Testify. D-VON!! GET THE TABLES!!! 3-D through a table. They hugged. E-C-Dub chant in my section as they walked back up the ramp. D-Von played to the crowd saying goodbye.

    APA office. Bradshaw & Faarooq at the table. We've been through a lot. Never had a better friend. All this ended because of a stupid lottery. We'll always be there for each other. They call in Tajiri & Torrie. Tell everyone we're having a big party here, lots of beer. Torrie has to stay. They give her a beer and ask if she knows how to play strip poker.

    Lita & Matt backstage with Lilian. Lita talks about being crazy or something, and Matt actually starts to get mic time (couldn't hear, the crowd was too loud.) Jericho interrupts. It's all about me. I should still be champ. The only rematch I got was a stupid triple threat match. I won't be happy again until I'm champ. Matt calls him a has-been. Jericho attacks both Matt & Lita.

    Hogan & Rock backstage talking strategy. Hogan asks if we can trust Kane. Rock says he's a scary cat, he's been in the ring with a lot of scary cats, he's no King Kong Bundy, he's no Kamala, slapping his belly, but he is one big ass-kickin' machine. Here he is now. Kane, you ready? Kane - Are you ready? Rock starts to answer, Kane - "It doesn't MATTER if you're ready! You ready brother, it doesn't matter if there's millions.. and millions of Rock fans, 20,000 Hulkamaniacs, or 20,000 Kaneamaniacs. whatcha gonna do Hall, Nash & X-Pac, when Hogan, Rock, and the Big Red Machine run wild on you?" Kane poses like Hogan with the ear thing and the flexing, then leaves. Rock & Hogan look like they just saw a ghost. Funnier than I could ever describe it, the crowd ate it up. Never thought I'd see Kane outpromo Rock AND Hogan in one night.

    Voodoo Chile plays, out walks Hogan with boa to big pop. Kane's pyros are even louder & hotter than Booker's. Now I know why the King always screams like a baby. Roof blew off for Rocky. I booed him, though, which got me strange looks. nWo gets great heat. I cheered for them, except for X-Pac. Nice match with all 6 men involved, they had the crowd into it all the way. X-Pac went for the Bronco Buster on Kane in the corner, but Kane caught X-Puke by the throat and chokeslammed him for the 1-2-3. Kane's post-match pyros out of the post scared the s**t outta me. Cameras off, Kane starts to leave, Rock calls him back, wants to have a posedown. Hogan poses to all four sides, gets huge pop. Kane does hand to ear thing and poses for all sides, crowd eats it up. All 3 shake and leave.

    Y2J's pyros are awesome live. Hardyz' blacklight entrance sucks. Just Matt and Lita tonight. Matt charges the ring, match on. Lita hits Jericho with a hurricanrana (sloppy one at that). Jericho goes for the Walls on Matt, but gets kicked into the ropes, knocking Lita off the apron. Matt taps to the Walls. After the match, Walls on Lita, and he walks up the ramp smiling.

    Big party backstage, playing cards with the APA and a lot of midcarders. Tajiri wins, so Torrie needs to strip... she removes a bracelet-type thing. Christian throws a hissy fit. Faarooq "Damn!"

    Hebner comes out and taunts crowd. Little "You screwed Bret" chant going. RVD gets huge pop, Test gets nice heat. Test went for pin and put his feet on the ropes, but Earl saw it at 2 1/2 and stopped the count. Test went after Hebner, RVD rolled him up, and Hebner made a fast count. Test actually kicked out at 2 3/4, but Hebner said "ring the bell" and rolled the hell out of the ring. I thought a "You screwed Test" chant was appropriate, but I couldn't get one going.

    Backstage, Raven now has dreads. I couldn't hear much of his promo, but he quoted Oscar Wilde and said that Maven would fall to the Raven Effect.

    Maven vs. Raven.. sounds funny. Raven brings a shopping cart of goodies to the ring. Maven dropkicks trashcan into Raven's face to start. Raven beats Maven down with trashcan lids, then Raven.. I mean Maven (damn this is confusing) gets him back. Dreamer (!!!) runs out, attacks Maven. Huge E-C-Dub chant. Raven wins with a drop toe-hold onto a chair. New Hardcore Champion!!! Woohoo!!!

    Vince is pissed that he lost the Hardcore champion, but that he's going to get Austin. He's talking strategy with Kurt.

    Back to the party, the Hurricane passes out from chugging beer... I guess his Hurri-liver couldn't handle it. Regal shows up, gloating about how he predicted the APA would be broken up. APA kick his ass and anyone else's around. They're left standing alone in wreckage. We go out the same way we came in. They go through the door, close it, and put a "Sorry, We're Closed" sign on the door (crowd is booing). They shake hands, walk away, and turn out the lights. Zoom in on the sign. Crowd now applauds. Classy way for them to end it. 2nd tag team we've seen end tonight.

    Vince is jacked. All those roids must still be affecting him if he looks like that. Angle comes out again to a "You suck What?". WHOO!!! Flair is in black pants. No robe, no blue tights. The Game's entrance live is something to behold. The FU Center goes nuts. Vince vs. HHH to start. Vince taunts HHH, who feigns fear, and tags in Flair. Vince tags in Kurt. Flair styles & profiles. Whoo chops in the corner. Flair tags in HHH. German suplex on the Game. Flair in now. Flair & HHH exchange chops to Angle. Double style & profile by Flair & HHH (very cool), and double chops. Flair sleeper on Kurt. Backbody drop on Flair. Angle works on Flair's knee. Vince comes in, continues to work on knee. Wraps Flair's leg around the post. Angle reversed the Figure Four into the Ankle Lock, HHH broke it up. Figure Four by Vince on Flair, Flair reverses, broken up by Angle. HHH sets up for Pedigree, but Vince clocks HHH with the belt. Taker runs in, gives big boot to Flair, Vince covers 1-2-3. Taker, Vince, and Kurt celebrate on the ramp.

    After the cameras go off, Flair starts to leave. HHH calls Ric back. "You talk alot about being the man, if you have any guts, walk back here". Flair steps into the ring. "You called yourself the man, well every night I step into this ring I call myself the Game. I've always waited to say something to you. Thank you. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't be here, I wouldn't be the Game, I wouldn't be champ. Because of you, I am where I am. I thank you, these fans thank you, the world thanks you. You truly are the man." They hug, and HHH raises Ric's arm as they walk up the ramp.

    Overall, an awesome show. The crowd was hot all night, and they reacted to everything. It should come out very well on TV. My first WWF show, and I can't wait to go back.

    Just to add a couple things to the Smackdown report.

    After the six-man both Hogan and Kane did the pose to the crowd with the ear
    and all that mess.

    After it went off air not much happened. As Flair walked away from the ring
    HHH called him back to thank him because without Flair there would be no HHH.
    They hugged and that was basically it.

    They also played the "Lonely Road of Faith" video before the dark matches and
    the crowd was popping for Snuka, Hogan, Foley, and others.

    Not sure how the show will look on TV but it came across very well to the
    crowd. Not much else happened off camera other than the usual fights.

    Sign of the night was "804 days till the Olsen twins are legal." I think it
    was on camera once or twice. Not that it's important to the show but
    everybody thought it was funny.
