Wrestler passes away, Sika in car accident, and more

- Sika, one half of the old Wild Samoans tag team, suffered serious head and face injuries after being involved in a car accident last Thursday in Pensacola, Florida. Sika was pulling out into the parking lot of a shopping center when a beer truck hit the passenger side of the car and dragged it about 150 feet.
- The paid attendence for Tuesday's Smackdown in Ottawa was 9,853.

Ray Schilling
Ray Schilling, retired professional wrestler, also known as 'Logger Larson' and 'The Lumberjack', passed away the morning of Thursday, March 21st, peacefully in his sleep.
Born, February 16th, 1940, in N.Y., Ray was a past Master of South Union Grange, a past officer of the Thurston County Pomona Grange. He was a member of the Vagabond Grange Camper Club, and served as the Master of the 2nd Degree Team. He was the son-in-law of the late Thurston County Deputy Master Harold May. Ray also served as the building manager of the Washington State Grange headquarters during the administration of State master Bob Joy.
Ray was proud of his Italian heritage, and had recently joined the Sons of Italy.
Ray spent 20 years on the professional wrestling circuit and had many interesting and exciting stories that he shared with close friends. Ray, wrestling under the names 'The Lumberjack' and 'Logger Larson', was admitted to the Professional Wrestling Hall of Fame in 1999 in recognition of his accomplishments in this sport. Ray took great pride in having been part of this profession.
Ray is survived by his loving wife Shavanna, with whom he had planned to celebrate their 25th anniversary in August. He is also survived by a stepson, Daniel Piles, daughter-in-law Cheri Piles, granddaughter Elisha Piles, two sisters, Betty Romanelli and Eleanor Murphy, of New Jersey.
Ray loved to ride his Harley, go fishing, and spend time with his dog Brandi. He was an accomplished painter and loved to cook.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 27th at Olympic Memorial Gardens in Tumwater at 2p.m., followed by a reception for family and friends at South Union Grange Hall on Tilley Road beginning at 3p.m.
