The truth about the professional wrestling business is that we will never know just what will happen in the coming months. The split happening has created a huge stir. Just who will go where? What will happen to the titles? So many questions...

CORNER TO CORNER - SPECIAL EDITION

What you just read above is exactly what the World Wrestling Federation Entertainment executives want us to think about. They do not want you the fans, to understand that they have closed the door to open minded reporting. While Lords of Pain has been promoting the hell out of each and every one of their specials, television programs, house shows, interviews, and pay per views, the WWFE has deemed our site as inaccurate and unconfirmed.

We have been led astray multiple times by this business. Each time, it was a work. We bit on their crap because we knew that was what was supposed to happen. When we see a heel turn, we boo. When we see a face turn, we cheer. So what do we do when the company that we have followed since our teens, decides we are no longer able to be curious or to desire the truth.

I guess we were supposed to believe it was real. I guess that Vince McMahon was pissed off that we grew up. Yeah Vince, we get it. We get it loud and clear. Not only do we get it, but also we now have reason to do what we had just begun.

I want to take this time to make the first loud response from Lords of Pain. May this be the opening statement for our defense? Perhaps the internet is flooded with lies and rumors as you say, but before you, Vince McMahon, judge us with those uneducated morons who indeed print those made up lies, you should research the web sites who have kept their integrity in tact. Lords of Pain is a prime example of the integrity that your own product lacks. At least in Lords of Pain, we can read the truth and see the true result of the lies you put in our lines of sight.

When Bret left, we stuck by you and claimed you did what you had to do. When Owen died, we all mourned together and did nothing to make you feel responsible for that loss. When WCW fell to pieces and you bought it, WE cheered your acquisition. No, we admired your ability to even stand toe to toe and then we exploded in unison as you bought them out. We knew it was huge news, and we made you look damn good.

Don’t blame the Lords of Pain website for your own failures. We didn’t mock the XFL when you created it. We were the ones who took in on the chin, not you. We told our friends and other NON-believers to tune in. We told them that it wasn’t the NFL, and it was quite possible that you could have something pretty good. It was only when you started making the league look like a damn circus that we decided to turn the channel and watch something else.

Don’t blame Mr. Tito for lambasting you when your angles suck beyond any normal comparison. Don’t blame Calvin for letting his reporters and columnists speak the truth. You, who allow your own children to run amok on television with ego filled drivel and nonsense, have the audacity to claim we don’t take the time to do our jobs with integrity? We don’t care about your attempts to surprise us?

That is the biggest pack of bullshit that I have ever heard. It is not our fault that your writers do not do their jobs very well. It is not Lords of Pain’s fault that you allow ego take control over talent. It is not our fault that your own writers and officials leak information. Do you blame us for taking the information we receive? What would you have us do Vince; ignore the writing on the wall? Let’s face it Mr. McMahon, we are the audience and we are the ones who you should be listening to the most in the first place.

I will be the first person to admit there is a lot of stupid websites out there that make this business look uneducated and foolish. We, the wrestling fans and Lords of Pain writers, did not deserve to be grouped with those web sites. I contend that we stand well above those other sites. If you would like to go toe to toe about this, I am fairly certain you’ll find us very up to the task.

Your letter claimed that you will no longer open yourself to the Internet for confirmation on news. Boy, I guess you showed us, huh? Vince, please take into account that because of this open letter you sent, your company will be even more scrutinized than ever before. If you thought the lies and unsubstantiated commentary was vicious before, just imagine how many idiots out there will try to turn up the volume and make you look even worse!

Lords of Pain has never taken pot shots at them either. It was never about that. It has always been about integrity and actual news. NEWS, you know that thing that exists when facts are present? I think you forgot about the one thing that carried your company to the top in the first place. It was we, the fans that put you over as the main company.

What would you do Vince? What would you do if we left? If we all turned our backs on you and went and watched say, Ally McBeal, would you have a successful company then? Doesn’t it sound funny that the very company who begged us for our signs, approval, and hand gestures now turns its back on us?

Well gosh Vince, I guess we’re just the uneducated rednecks you make us out to be. I suppose that from this point forward, we will have to join the “Vince McMahon- Kiss My Ass Club.”

Hey Vince, in case you forgot, we fans aren’t fake and you don’t pay us. So guess what, any ass kissing you had in mind can be put aside because we don’t swing that way. To your open letter, to your company, and to you Vince McMahon I say practice some humility.

That whole “FAN APPRECIATION NIGHT” you came up with should have been legitimate. We sure as hell deserve a thank you for following you and continuing to dish out our hard earned money for your events. How dare you lash out in such an uneducated manner!

Lords of Pain has a good deal going on. We have promoted, written about, and held up the company known as the World Wrestling Federation. We have a thing in this country known as the “Constitution.” In that, we are given freedom of press and freedom of speech. I, Stan Grubb, columnist for Lords of Pain, choose to exercise both of those rights.

I wish I could get rid of all of those crappy, uneducated sites too Vince. I wish we could all do away with those who only want to tear the integrity of this business down. Unfortunately Vince, by closing the door to the intelligent sites in effort to get rid of the uneducated ones, you are now making yourself an even bigger target by those sites.

The point of this is simple. Vince, your OPEN LETTER was a mistake you will greatly regret. Those of us who stood out there and cheered may just change our minds. It won’t happen today, but if this kind of treatment continues, my guess is that it will happen.

Is your company worth your own hypocrisy?

I didn’t think so either.
