Update on Austin/WWF, Locker room morale, Split news, more

• Reportedly, there is still a lot of tension between the WWF and Steve Austin and it remains unknown whether Austin will appear on Raw or Smackdown this week. Austin has been upset with the company for several weeks about the direction his character has taken and his role in Wrestlemania. Austin angered WWF management when he turned down a run-in during his match with Scott Hall and Wrestlemania that would be been used to explain the split. Because of the tension between both sides, the WWF.com staff has been told to avoid using Steve Austin material in news updates.
  
  
• Steve Austin isn't the only one unhappy with the WWF recently as complaints have been piling up over storylines being dropped or botched and reduced television time. The hope is that individual television time will increase after the split but the general feeling is that they will believe it when they see it. However, despite what you might think, this feeling existed before the nWo was bought in.
  
  
• What concerned the WWF locker room upon hearing the impending arrival of the nWo has come true and the feeling is that there is a double standard developing with Scott Hall and Kevin Nash showing up late to Tuesday's Smackdown tapings and their continuous lobbying to bringing X-Pac into the nWo.
  
  
• Despite what was reported earlier, the countout finish that took place during the Raw main event this week was actually the planned finish and not a botched one.
  
  
• According to notifications from the WWF to at least one cable company, the only time wrestlers from both sides of the WWF will face each other will be at Wrestlemania and in the Royal Rumble match. Pay-per-views after the draft will contain wrestlers from both sides but they will not fight in cross promotional matches.
  
  
• The WWF plans to add four new pay-per-view events in 2003.
